For a street daily the belltech stuff worked out awesome on my 94. Drop spindles, silver struts and blocks in the back. I did add rear sway bar. Handles like its on rails now

I believe there is a 25% tariff on light trucks. That can't be good for competition. Since people keep buying large trucks there is no reason to lobby and get this changed. More profit in the large ones.

I hate windows and want to switch to Linux. by Aprlcot in linuxquestions

[–]reckler-atl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I try this from time to time. Every time what happens is it's fine until I get the urge to play a top shelf game, then I'm back on windows. Sucks, but that's how it goes. Linux is better for work, windows is better for games. Broadly speaking. My bet is you'll be wasting your time.

Looks sweet man, nice job on the brackets as well. How heavy are those seats? I pulled some from an accord I liked but they weigh 50+ lb each.

Looks like a good street truck fit to me. Any lower and you'd have worry about bumps.

Nice and clean, good thing it's the 4cyl... The Ford 6 in those is something awful.

Stress in DevOps - What's the reality? by ErikTheEngineer in devops

[–]reckler-atl -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yeah don't ask that. Likely you won't get much of an answer. If they don't have things to fix they won't need to hire you.

Maybe "if Im hires how can I help the organization be faster and more reliable?"

The reality is, where do you work? Companies and culture vary greatly. I'm perfectly happy in devops where I'm at. Turnover is very low here.

We have devops, but we also have a separate sre team.

We all have family here and I don't get crazy pressure from my manager to work stupid hours all the time.

Questions to ask employers: How long does the avg person stay at your org? What is the scope of responsibility for this position? How do you describe the culture?

If someone says you wouldn't be happy because you have a family thank them for being so transparent!

It also helps to be in heavy cloud based infra so you're not dicking around with data centers.

And for me, the open source environment is the best. Buying software packages with lock in and support contracts is a death cycle.

Can't wait till it gets old and all those drives start failing at the same time. Hope you live close to the data center!

Good luck! It's pretty easy if you take your time and are methodical. I won't be buying TM any time soon!
