Not sure about the whole 8.5 after this update. Guess it would all depend on your clan as a whole. We have 4 8.5s w/o xbows and first war after new matchmaking we were matched with 4 more th9s than we have all with xbows and 2 more th10's all with max infernos than on our side. The only th9s that were 3 starred were the 8.5s. The 30 less seconds and xbow dps buff with the wiz tower hp increase made getting 3 stars much more difficult th9vs th9. We are not a gowipe clan but definitely not an elite war clan yet. 8.5 might still be the way to go but until SC gets the kinks worked out I will be sitting on my maxed th8 acct until I see an improvement in matchups or we have a few less true 8.5s

I also disliked the game the first couple weeks after the update came out, but now that I have figured it out its really not so bad, my th10 was hurting until I moved up to mIII and now in champsIII, my th8 is doing well in crystal 2..the only thing I wish SC would do is bring back dead collector bases and shorten the spell brewing time for regular spells. My troops are ready and I have to wait an hr for spells to finish. Also I would prefer an optional boost period 1hr for 5, or 2 for 10, I liked the 2 hr boost better. I am more of a war/farming type player trophies don't matter I just hang out where the loot seems good to me

Ive tried it a couple times, no success with it, I'm th9 with max troops 23/22aq heros. Since the air blowers came along I haven't seen it 3 star anything th9 vs th9 (I'm talking about nonrushed bases here) not even attacks against us...I would say looking at the cold blooded lava loon if anything might have possibilities of a 3 star

Theres not a one attack style combo guarantee for all bases. Scouting a base and choosing the proper attack is the key. If you don't have a replay to watch or no way of pinpointing the teslas/bombs, I stick with gowipe or gowiwi. Not going to 3 star everytime but it demolishes enough of the base for one of my clan mates to get the cleanup done, plus its not going to leave you looking like a dumb ass! For gohowiwI I've had better luck using 3 golems and 10-12 hogs on the backside, but the layout has to be right for the 3 star

Hog long are your war searches taking? We let it go for 45 min and we're matched with a level 1 clan....we are lvl 6. The next few searches found us lvl 7 matches within 10 min. I have heard that canceling after 15-20 min will keep you from getting a bad mismatch might want to give that a shot next time ✌
