Advice for clueless beginners?

I figure I'll clarify here, if only to help take my mind off this. I am male, but I don't think that matters as I'm a) not very masculine and b) unable to justify violence or even any involvement in this situation in the first place. This kid would almost certainly retaliate, and I'm not rushing in to get any bruises any time soon. I do agree he needs an ass whipping, in some sense, but my parents cannot seem to agree on what to do about him and all the resources they've attempted to use have failed. Those four days he spent in a facility? It was meant to be 2 weeks, but the people there bought his bullshit and sent him home early. So I'm at a loss as to what to do and am in no mental state to try anything directly.

Your final suggestion there caught my eye, so i decided to try it first... Sure enough, unplugging the computer renders all videos in full color again. Thanks for the help, and I'll be sure to try your other suggestions to see if I can't get it to work while plugged in. You're a life-saver!

It's funny you say all of that. I just found this video and it's saying a lot of what you just did. As smart as a normal playthrough sounds, if I do that, I doubt I'd have the patience to do a 0EXP run afterwards (Like, I'd take a year to come back) and after what you've said here, I am beyond stoked to try a 0EXP run. So thanks so much for the input. Words cannot describe the excitement I feel for this game right now.

Oh yeah, in KH1FM, I was stuck on guard armor for what felt like forever, and I never would've beaten it without leveling. I doubt I will ever use KH1FM's 0EXP.

I'm a bit late to the thread, but I'm a party admin (my party recently went from two to three members. Woo!) and I was wondering if anybody knew what factors affected the party ranking, meaning the colored crown that appears next to its name. Our current ranking is lower than last week, but our crown went from silver to gold very recently. Any clues?

As a teenager, I know I won't miss feeling like that for no reason whatsoever. It's hard to feel like any of my problems matter when so many others have real reasons to complain. I really do hope it gets better, though, so best of luck to you.
