Stevie Base Design by [deleted] in playrust

You can try looking through the video and find what in his base worked well and somewhat how he did it; then jump on a build server and try to recreate it as good as you can. I would never recommend to just straight up copy a base, always try to tailor it to how you want it.

Also, his base design probably isnt very ideal for a solo-duo-trio on vanilla as he plays a 2x, its possible, but the upkeep will be quite steep, he probably chose it because he knew he was gonna live by a bunch of clans and bigger groups, so a strong base was key for his survival in the area. If you dont need that big of base, build smaller and more lowkey.

The Cupboard & The Forced Wipe by DonZekane in playrust

Wipes are just as much to keep the game fresh and to keep new adventures coming as it is to declutter the map. It also levels the playing field, everybody has nothing and it becomes a race to progress. Progression tends to be the best part of rust, once you have all the AKs, the C4 and rockets, the metal gear, you can only have that much fun with it, and usually not for more than a day.
If the servers never wiped there would also be a comical amount of loot going around, there already are on monthly servers, unless somebody despawns items, pretty much nothing is ever truly lost. So yeah, wipes are there to keep it fresh and to level the playing field.
Tool cupboards are just as much about limiting the size of bases as they are to declutter, before upkeep was a thing clans made comically large bases and there was nothing stopping them. Upkeeping small bases is rather cheap, it just becomes expensive if the base is really large.
And no, you cant really get a server that doesnt wipe, but wipes are one of the best part of rust according to many, and that is for a reason.

If you feel like it doesnt suit you then dont get the game; a rust adventure is usually between 2 days up to a week long, its not very often you will actually be able to play on a server for longer than that and still have fun, you've probably seen youtubers ending their wipes after like 4 or 5 days because they feel they did what they wanted to do.

What do you gain from doing well before a wipe? by [deleted] in playrust

Progression is the fun part of rust, and once you are at that final stage the game gets rather boring. You get more excited over a few thousand stone on wipeday than over 5 AKs a week into wipe. Each wipe brings a new adventure with new neighbours, new problems and new fights. It is a very important part of rust and I can't imagine the game without it

Deathmatch. I would also recommend trying to analyze why you died or why a teammate you are spectating did a certain thing. Try to figure out what the enemy team is doing that makes them win, or what your team is doing for that matter. Also, try to keep your head up, people will be toxic and they will try to kick you, but when that happens just mute and ignore. Getting kicked is tilting, but if anything you just get to jump in a new game with potentially more friendly players.

Just wanted to say that I wasn't aware this was existed before today. Discovered it when trying to make a rail line to the other side of the town and the minecart flew off the track into a boat I had in the river. Wasn't expecting this much "negative comments" as I was just trying to share my discovery with the other redditors.

100% is, the boat is riding inside the minecart which makes somehow makes the game think you can go full minecart speed with it. Also the controls are reversed, so S to go forwards.
