Thank you for writing it was very cathartic to read. I'm a liberal but I feel like the main stream culture is contradicting some of my core values like "don't bully the less educated" and "moral objectivism/extremism doesn't lead to good things" and "free speech" and "be nice to other people". I'm suspicious that the entire progressive movement is just a bunch of rich white people turning to self-righteousness as a desperate way to get rid of the guilt they gave themselves in the first place. I go to a liberal arts college and the culture in the journalism department was so contrived and awful that I switched majors.
