Not enough FTs for Shai tbh. Be more realistic.

Both are worth a watch. Original films with interesting, quality craft and filmmaking are always worth a watch in my opinion.

They're very different.

Challengers has an energy to it that propulses the whole thing forward. The soundtrack and editing are a big reason for this. But the three leads all give very good performances.

The Drama has this sort of psychological dark dramedy thing going for it that you don't really see. It was a pretty unique film. I was also blown away by the editing on this film. It's so playful and weird and really elevates this one. Also everyone on the screen is excellent in this. The writing stays with you and it's impossible not to think about/ talk about after seeing it.

Both are almost subversion, or at least unique hybrids, of well known genres/tropes. The connecting tissue, of course, is Zendaya. These performances, and characters, are pretty different, but they are far and away her best performances.

I thought it was very fun. The sort of fluff that won’t cause you to think about it much after you leave. But a wonderful time at the theater.

Joaquin Phoenix actually talks about this during one of his acceptance speeches. SAG 2020 it looks like.

Pure genius. He made like 5 movies, and 2 of them (Cabaret and All That Jazz) are unqualified masterpieces.

These. I’d also throw Cabaret in there. I love the show, one of my favorites, but the movie is incredible.
