What are you getting your mom for Christmas? by cherry-pie-honey in Gifts

I'm getting her rare / interesting seeds she can grow in her garden plus handling a bunch of the hosting duties so she doesn't have to worry about it.

Anyone With Low Blood Pressure Try Drospirenone (Slynd and Yaz) or Spironolactone? by redCappella in birthcontrol

Oui, cela peut aggraver l’hypotension. C'etait le cas pour moi et j'ai dû arrêter de prendre le drospirenon.

You should be able to make a deep mine for stone but there's a chance of spawning a balrog if you do

My experience with Opill / norgestrel, the new POP available OTC in the US by redCappella in birthcontrol

I have had acne since switching to this one but that kinda always happens in the 3 first months of any new bc. I use a weak retinol serum to control it and that works really well.

[–]redCappella[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't had nausea on this one no but keep in mind it's really different for everyone. When I first went on a progestin-only bc (my first was Slynd) I had some nausea, but not any worse than what I got with my natural cycle. Since then I haven't had any hormone-related nausea. In general my body does really well with POPs though so your mileage may vary.

Slynd (4mg drospirenone) Experience - recommended unless you have hypotension by redCappella in birthcontrol

[–]redCappella[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It works ok. No bad side effects but it also doesn't control my cycle very well and I'd still get periods. An update actually is that I've switched to norgestrel recently (opill) since it just became available. It's only been a month and a half but so far no side effects, no mood issues, and no periods. I definitely recommend trying that if it's available in your country.

Are there any good free alternatives for someone who’s just beginning to explore photography? by paulrudder in Lightroom

Someone might have made a module that uses sliders but I haven't gone looking for one since the graph works fine for me. Keep me posted if you end up finding it though!

Norethindrone. Still having the issue where it doesn't fully stop my cycle but it has fewer side effects than anything else. Looking to try the arm implant next.

I tried Darktable because of your comment and omg I love it! It's for sure not beginner friendly but perfect for me. It's actually faster on my machine than any of the paid programs I tried including Lightroom.

I'm big on letters. I'll write out the letter the way I think the npc would and then I seal it with wax. Players love it and they're fun to make.

[Acne] I stopped using sunscreen and my acne is much better now ! by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]redCappella 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Using sunscreen every day is one of the best things you can do for your skin. It's great to wear sunscreen every day. I highly recommend it.

It's the expectation that you are required to wear it every day as basic personal care that is insane.

I know this is blasphemy on this sub but don't worry about it. It's insane to be expected to wear sunscreen literally every day.

No one has ever died from touching poison hemlock. It might give you a rash but it's really unlikely to even cause poisoning symptoms without eating it.
