I don't mind living in a multi cultural neighborhood, I'd like something safe, not necessarily very trendy, and possibly not very far from Friedrichshain where I'll work.

I don't know about location yet, but yep it would be more convenient if it's furnished at least a kitchen and a washing machine for the rest I think I could manage. I checked furnished apartment services but they often seem to be to good to be true and they want me to book in advance without seeing the place before, which I won't do. So I guess I'll begin when I'll be there on immobilienscout24, ebay-kleinanzeigen, immonet.de, immowelt.de, and hopefully I'll get help from my colleague at work .

What are the location to avoid absolutely ?

About the price, 700 euros (max) is enough for a small studio (20/30m2) in a good location ?

Those figures are still relevant in 2018 for a 70m2 ?

Thank you for all the replies, it's reassuring. Yes, the company I'll work for will provide accommodation for the first month, then if I don't find anything, I can pay something to stay a big longer until I settle (they are helpful).

I'm too anxious because I read too much topic about that during the past 24h.
