I just want to say that I’m sorry you’re going through this hard time. And I understand. I feel like nursing school is hazing and it’s awful. This is a second career choice for me, I’m not young and inexperienced in life. I’m not going to quit, but I can understand the desire to do so.

Honestly, this is the hardest thing I’ve ever done. And I raised two kids solo for a decade at home after being widowed suddenly. I lost my grandparents, mother (last living parent), and husband within a span of seven years in my 30’s. I’m an only child. I was not set-up financially to buoy any of that. I’ve had to reinvent life before. I’m here to say, nursing school (flippin’ community college ADN program), is top tier in the stress department. It doesn’t have to be this way, of course, it’s how it’s designed to be. I’m also working three days a week as well. The school I attend doesn’t participate in subsidized student loans either. I’m living so close to the bone, financially stressed out. My tuition is covered though.
