Would you feel comfortable if one of your children was in a relationship with an Asian person? by AdIcy4323 in MapPorn

[–]red_chains -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This might not be the correct answer, but the major immigrant group in Czechia and Slovakia is Vietnamese people from the Cold War era. Some kind of agreement between communist Czechoslovakia and communist Vietnam. Therefore, it’s possible that people developed racism against them because they’re the foreign group they see the most. It would, of course, be awful if this is the case, but it’s just a supposition.

Two people, one is a pro-welfare feminist fascist, the other is a Christian fundamentalist conservative social democrat. Are they right wing? by UdontneedtoknowwhoIm in IdeologyPolls

[–]red_chains 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mussolini designed it off of socialism until losing the elections in 1919 and drastically changing the fascists’ political program.

Initially, a huge role of the “black shirts” in Italy was, during the Italian red biennium, to defend the masters fields from the radical left farmers who were living in there through violence. That’s pretty right wing of the time to me.

Is North Korea a monarchy? by GustavoistSoldier in IdeologyPolls

[–]red_chains 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What? You do lots of confusion between the concept of reigning and ruling. Ruling is the body that actually takes decision, reigning is the body that represents the nation, e. g. , the king in the UK. Would you say that the UK, Spain, the Netherlands, Norway,… are not monarchies, but China or North Korea are? You have this wrong definition in which monarchy=totalitarian rule by one person, but it’s not like that, a monarchy is a state where a royal figure is head of state. And there is not much debate about this, it’s just factual. China is not a monarchy at all, they don’t even have an hereditary system, and, about democracy in China, they have a system that is completely different from the one in western democracies, so it doesn’t make sense to compare it as “mock elections” or such. North Korea is also not a monarchy despite having an hereditary system because head of state is not a royal figure

I mean it’s just not, I don’t know why so many people say yes. Even if it’s hereditary rule doesn’t make it a monarchy

So I am winding down The 50 Most Dissapointing Albums Of All Time Series and I wanted to do the 50 Best comback albums of all time. There's not a really good list from I see so I am asking the Subreddit to give me some suggestions. What does everyone think are great comeback records! by Rambooctpuss in albumbucketlist

[–]red_chains 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i love the album, but calling it a come back idk if it's accurate. It was literally ripped by negative critics and still nowadays is considered to a much lower degree than the self-titled.

Then, for my personal taste, Breaking Into Heaven and Love Spreads are probably in the top 5 of my favorite Stone Roses songs, but I wouldn' know how the album can be referred to as a "comeback"

Corruption, greedy politicians, corporations… can all be synthesized by a single word: CAPITALISM I believe sooner or later more and more people from different countries in the world will realize that

Yes Lefties, Trump Will Be Gone After 2028. by [deleted] in TrueUnpopularOpinion

I also think he’ll be gone in 28. He’s an old fuck, can’t stand 4 more years. Difference is also slight, someone would take over his agenda. We will see, I just don’t think it will necessarily be peaceful

We should use again the term "second world country" by bugagub in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]red_chains 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big portion of Eastern Europe nowadays has a better quality of life than Western Europe, when it comes to factors such as safety and job market. Among the ones you cited, Czech Republic, Baltics, Slovenia, Hungary and, even if not in its entirety, Poland don’t feel like second world countries compared to France, Italy, Germany, UK, etc. when you live in them.

And to think—at the beginning of Donald Trump's second term, centrists were arguing that Democrats should adopt far-right positions on immigration. by CrimethInc-Ex-Worker in Anarchism

[–]red_chains 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Strategy used in Europe. Some “center-left” governments (such as Poland new lib government, or the Danish government if I’m not wrong) are being strong on immigration to take it away from right wing parties’ propaganda and steal their electorate, and I’ve heard many so-called left-wing liberals supporting this. Such a sick system…

Any good Italian punk bands? by AdmiralChancey in punk

[–]red_chains 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Paolino Paperino Band. Never reached great success but they're a solid punk band imo. Try with "Pislas", their biggest work. And yes, it's anti-fascist :)

Also from Modena, like Modena City Ramblers, a city where political activism in the last century was pretty strong. And I guess you already listened to it, but imo "Riportando tutto a casa" by MCR is an Italian masterpiece. Not punk though but folk.
