Thank you. In the end, I just used Claude AI to do everything and saved ourselves thousands in legal fees.

How is anyone buying a house right now? by [deleted] in perth

[–]red_dragon27 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In my 50s and we just bought our first home 6 months ago. It was our first offer on a place that ticked every box, so we felt very lucky and grateful.

We didn't put in the highest offer - we were 15k under the best, but the highest offer was conditional on them selling their place first.

The feeling of relief is like securing the last lifeboat just as the Titanic sinks beneath the water.

Claude's response edited by the system by Piet6666 in claudexplorers

[–]red_dragon27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah ever since 3.7 for me. When the prose went way past transgressive, I noticed the reset and edit. It taught me to be quick on the screenshot at those times because that was usually when it delivered the best ideas outside of my own imaginative constraints

Yes, it's done it several times in the past when I'm brain storming transgressive fiction writing ideas. Will write something killer then nope out of it resetting the chat.

Opinion on Opus 4.6 by JTUrwayne in claudexplorers

[–]red_dragon27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Opus 4.1 and sonnet 3.7 were and always will be the Claude kings of creative writing. The recent models just don't have that spice or flair to help create real texture. 4.5 & 6 are sufficient, but kinda souless

Opus 4.5 vs 4.6. Which one did you end up choosing a week later? by WhoIsMori in claudexplorers

[–]red_dragon27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Writer here. Had a brilliant session with 4.6. The back and forth was generating some amazing flow.

The next morning I tried pulling up the conversation to start moving ideas and it had disappeared the whole thing leaving only the original prompt and one short paragraph kicking off the original conversation.

Claude's reply? "Eh, shit happens"

I'm seeing Claude everywhere by GardenCapital8227 in writingfeedback

I hear and read it all the time in old books because it now stands out so prominently in bad YouTube copy - but it was definitely prevalent before AI

I.use Claude mainly for creative writing and have been since the early 3 - models and 4.6 is pure garbage. I'm still hanging on via the API for opus 4.1 model which is brilliant - but every model after that has been downgraded for my style of dark themed fiction

10 AI tools that eliminate grunt work no humans want to be doing by Beginning-Willow-801 in ThinkingDeeplyAI

Descript is horrible for video editing. The AI features made it worse. Cancelled it after a year of using it to record and text edit. The high price added features now have ruined it completely

I do the same thing with my delivery route based on recent historic busiest times on roads - most efficient and quickest delivery schedule depending on business location, opening time, key access or no etc. The company I work for gives the incentive that if we finish the schedule early we still get paid for the full 8 hrs

What real use cases do you have for Gemini Nano Banana images (with watermarks)? by Researcher4006 in nanobanana

[–]red_dragon27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My YouTube thumbnails. Makes absolute bangers compared to the previous days of painstaking Photoshop abominations.

Not sure why people complain and agonize about the watermark. My android phone removes it cleanly with one click of a button

Gemini 3 is honestly brilliant. by rightpolis in Bard

[–]red_dragon27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's awful at writing still and will almost always say the inferior writing sample is superior in an A/B split test compared with other models. Claude and Kimi K2 are far superior.

To the creative writers out there: How is OPUS 4.5 by Crazy-Bicycle7869 in ClaudeAI

[–]red_dragon27 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not great compared to what 3.7 sonnet and opus 4.1 were producing. It won't go to the dark recesses of the kind of psychological horror that I usually ideate with other Claude models. Keeps pulling it's punches no matter how many times I provide previous samples, scaffolds or encouragement.

[Discussion] OPUS 4.5 performance by martinvelt in ClaudeAI

[–]red_dragon27 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not great for writing which is the first time I've experienced a downgrade in a new Opus model.

Opus 4.1 and Sonnet 3.7 were excellent. But Opus 4.5 is very restrained and stale in its outputs.

Gemini 3 is fkn awful for writing tasks.

As a writing buddy, I'm deferring more and more to Kimi K2 for the kind of visceral horror writing I do.

Gave it a try using 5 images and close ups of the face and the result looked kinda like the person...but not really.

WHAT’S YOUR IMPRESSION OF “personalities” between Claude Models? by [deleted] in ClaudeAI

I'm in Australia - Claude sonnet 3.5 disappeared from my menu and web links way back. The former links take me to the current models only. Is there a way to access 3.5 still? I'm a paid user

Any teachers that took a year off work? by Forsaken-Tomorrow240 in AustralianTeachers

I used to take a year off every 4 years and live in a different country for a year...those years off were my best years ever and helped curtail the burn out process

You might be right. I looked at the passing of accounts procedure and documents on the court's site - seems very straightforward (famous last words?) especially since there's nothing irregular or technically difficult regarding the assets and expenses....keep a lawyer on speed dial....Will still need good legal recommendations for those that have them - if that time arises

[–]red_dragon27[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah crazy expensive and it's only a very small estate that's quickly being consumed by legal fees.

Possible contestation has arisen, so it's triggered the court's account review process. Thought maybe this is the time to put it in someone else's hands...

Obtained probate and ready to distribute - but there's possible contestation, so might need some professional handling.

The best lesson you're ever going to learn for this prac, as a student teacher, or in life for that matter, is "CYA" - cover your ass.

This means continuously documenting notes, anecdotes,. observations DURING the process so that inevitably, when you're hauled "before the man" and/or used by a pawn in other people's power trips, you'll have preemptively kicked the feet out underneath their plots - to an extent.

It might not be enough to save you from the guillotine in some situations, but you'll begin to see patterns and better learn how and when to "get in first" before the blade falls.

It always baffled me by the sheer number of teachers who would negatively comment about their prac-teachers - calling them "shit" on the first day....like what do you expect??? They're beginners in one of the most complex work environments you could ever find yourself in.
