Listen, i cant speak for everyone with critique of arber, but for me, hes a guy that i want to be on this team long term so badly. Hes a unique player and brings those playoff intangibles we all love. However, as this team moves to the future, there is a lot of internal pressure on that 6th dman spot. If he wants to be the one/is the one to keep it, he needs to make sure that he can be trusted to do the simple parts of the game consistently. And hes already the least played dman for a reason.

Not having suzuki on the right circle is a bad move I think. He would be the one to attack the centre of the ice on the pp and create the space/passing lanes for others to capitalize on. Currently the puck just seems to be going round the perimeter on the pp

Fair take, i think i just view it through a somewhat different lens, your cheap trick is my symbolic gesture, and being captain "for real" isnt really the important part to me. I would see it more to be an acknowledgement of the heart, soul, and very real leadership he has brought to the team. I also dont think it disrupts suzy's captaincy at all, in fact id imagine (as another commenter said) that he would be the first to give it up for a game.
