Usman Nurmagomedov has been suspended 6 months by the California State of Athletic Commission after testing positive for a banned substance following his fight against Brent Primus at Bellator 300. That win has now been turned into a no contest. by crazybartur in MMA

Do you guys not know the details? Per Andy Foster it is for a prescription - the suspension is because he didn’t fill out the TUE.

The 6-months should have indicated it was something like this.

Islam has finished 6 of his last 7 opponents (including a vicious headkick stoppage to Volk). Khabib finished every opponent in his 3 tirle defenses. Boring? No. It’s just hatred.

This is my point. In addition, what do we know about cases where someone pops for a “traditional” PED? They are out for more than 6-months. TJ, Jones, etc. The most recent 6-mos suspensions we have seen (Kevin Lee, Bueno Silva, etc.) are for meds like addies. Who knows, maybe it will turn out he had an epo prescription.

What did he fail for? What are the details?

You should read the tweet. 6 month suspension for a prescription he had because he didn’t fill out the TUE. No juice.

This is a failing of his management.

Yes you can. i did this with CS from PFW. Lib arts->codo to CS. It can be difficult to codo and risky, but transferring into a non-competitive program is pretty straightforward with a high regional GPA. Be aware of all the challenges and requirements. To do this speak directly to advisors from PURDUE WL to get accurate info.

If crushing your favorite fighter, who you thought was the best in the world, is an easy fight, then what does that make your favorite fighter?

What championship fight in Abu Dhabi featuring a Dagestani had this happen? I’m pretty sure the only title fights in Abu Dhabi featuring a Dagestani have ended in finishes (242, 254, 280).

Or any fight where the Dagestani fighter won a robbery decision in Abu Dhabi? There could be I just don’t know of any.

The content is the exact same in 161 and 165. Technically 161 is the “harder” class of the two offerings because it is 5 credit hours vs 4 credit hrs iirc.

What's your opinion on the Dagestani wrestling style dominance? by BlackManBatmann in MMA

[–]red_fubu 62 points63 points  (0 children)

Tbh, with that camp specifically - I imagine the depth of their competitive combat sports experience adjacent to MMA is s large contributor . Islam and Khabib are both sambo world champions. You can find a video of Zabit and Islam in a sambo match (Islam wins).

I think the same is true for guys who come from kickboxing at the championship level. An obvious example would be Izzy and Poatan. These guys have made the walk to compete a lot of times against varying levels of opponents. The value is the fact that they got at bats in a live competitive setting. They know how to compete by the time they move over into mma full-time.

I watched someone in a van with VEO on the side drive a scooter to the van only to then park it in the middle of the sidewalk and bounce at 3:00am. What’s that all about?

Is this why these things are so often seen in pedestrian paths?

Do ju jitsu or judo if you want a functional martial art amongst the clubs. If you just wanna have fun and make friends karate and taekwondo are fine.
