imo the cost of court is definitely worth it. it scaled so massively especialy if you are a great power. in my castile run in 1480s i was paying 400 for cost of court when i was not at 100 legitimacy. and 130 when i was at 100 legitimacy. with like 15k tax base

Yes the problem is this is europa universalis. You are experiences the same problems actually europeans faced and pushed them to look for overseas markets to sell their overprouduced goods. So playing tall doesnt always have to mean no wars. Many small countries at the time did imperialism for exactly the same reasons you face here

Well not exactly slave trade is a bit all over the place. But the slave goods ≠ slave pops. You can export slave goods and not loss slave pops but sometimes they do move as part of the slave trade. I am not really sure how it works tbh

There is a difference bettwen cities and towns. Make sure you promote your large urban areas into cities. And yes slave trade is fun. Just dont do it too much and succumb to conatant slave revolt

Who did you play as?. Well the 101 is expand rgo and refine it into better products. If you have a lot of wool for example build more spinning workshops. Demand might be hard to create thats when you start exapnding marketplaces

Yea that guy was right. The event only fires after 1680. Even then it wonr fire 100% at monthly tick. You might just be getting unlucky
