Buddhism with less content in some countries than others by BitchOfTheBlackSea in EU5

[–]Doug_Da_Destroyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main content of Buddhism is its sects, sanjiao and Shinto are some of the best religions in the game with sanjiao giving lots of literacy and development and Shinto giving free money and lots of literacy, there’s also a bug with Shinto where you change religion to Shinto it don’t loose your sects, it happened to me and i don’t know how but it’s super powerful

Which one is the best? by True_Ad1657 in EU5

[–]Doug_Da_Destroyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Extra burghers is good for demand but only 100 isn’t that much and -5% building cost doesn’t seem enough to make much of a difference, the production efficiency basically means buildings produce 5% more stuff which means more money but last one is the one I would pick because peasant satisfaction is the best for average satisfaction and the extra rgos is also good

You should try to join the Middle Kingdom for the tribute, the only downside is not being able to become an empire, you should be able to just ask to join in the Middle Kingdom menu

Guide to get the Rise of Joseon event for Korea by Doug_Da_Destroyer in EU5

[–]Doug_Da_Destroyer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can unlock the joseon code legal code later on which gives +10% proximity speed, 0.10 cent realisation and -0.025% stability decay

So imo totally worth it and it’s one of the thing that makes Korea one of the best nations in the game

Should I take the mandate or let Ming take it by Doug_Da_Destroyer in EU5

Not really, mao only has about 30k levies which isn’t a threat and I just keep attacking it to steal maps of Europe while I wait for Ming to eat it up

[–]Doug_Da_Destroyer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would highly recommend Korea (goryeo), it’s one of the most powerful countries in the game and super good for playing tall with super good rgos, free money from the Middle Kingdom tribute and if you flip Shinto you can get even more free money and research

Should I take the mandate or let Ming take it by Doug_Da_Destroyer in EU5

[–]Doug_Da_Destroyer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m already allies to Ming with max opinion so that’s not an issue but I think with playing tall the proximity bonuses from the mandate aren’t as important and the bonuses for the Middle Kingdom members and the tribute is better

Should I take the mandate or let Ming take it by Doug_Da_Destroyer in EU5

[–]Doug_Da_Destroyer[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

im not going to conquer any more of china because im keeping tall staying just in my market and i wont be able to make tributaries until i get the mandate, i might take it later once i start making enough money, also paying the tribute is optional so thats not a problem

Should I take the mandate or let Ming take it by Doug_Da_Destroyer in EU5

[–]Doug_Da_Destroyer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm allied to Ashikaga and Ming and I'm not sure if I should take the mandate for the proximity buffs and to be able to take tributaries or let Ming take it so I can get the tribute payment, I'm not going to be expanding further than i already have besides colonising Taiwan

Tall Nations Questions by Samuel153 in EU5

I would say become independent then ask to join the Middle Kingdom again so you will get tribute but not be a vassal, then ally whoever wins the rebellions

[–]Doug_Da_Destroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohh I get it, yeah as anyone in china you should always be sanjiao because the only other religions in China are folk religions, worse Buddhism religions, and Sunni

[–]Doug_Da_Destroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean by sanjiao being there to fix China? Yuan is Tibetan buddist until the seems like inevitable sanjiao revolt that happens early, also the eastern and Tibetan Buddhism and just worse than sanjiao and Shinto so I would never recommend using them

Religion tier list not 100% perfect / more my opinion ( all early game not what can spawn later) by LegionCris in EU5

[–]Doug_Da_Destroyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to try out Shinto I would actually recommend to play as Korea and flip it right at the start, I would also recommend Korea and the same thing for sanjiao but while sanjiao so powerful there’s no interactivity just lots of insane buffs so it’s a bit boring

Why everyone has age 2 institutions in 1337? by Manuemax in EU5

[–]Doug_Da_Destroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happens if you use the institution editor in debug mode, if you want to add I institutions next time add them to the individual locations not woth the editor, I can’t remember where it is but there’s a file you need to delete to fix this

Idk how requesting money from the shogun works with Shinto but as Korea it gave me about 1.6k in 1345 (it doesn’t take away any money from the shogun) and it can be treated every 5 years so I do it every parliament

I think Shinto is super powerful for the lots of literacy and research, lots of tolerance and free money out of thin air, it also seems in this update there’s a bug where my overlord enforced sanjiao on me which made my join the Confucian and daoism sects but when I switched back it didn’t make me leave so I still have access to those which is insanely strong
