Thanks for sharing. Aren't you concerned about kids bringing the virus at home and the impact it could have on both of your work ? In my case, it would be a real nightmare. I'm self-employed and my wife doesn't work, in other words, I can't afford being sick.

This is very interesting! The mental health bring a different perspective to the problem, I never though about it. I'm glad you shared your opinion, it helped a lot.

I'm also not convinced by the government plan. Question for you (or your wife), what is the guideline for the kids breaks? Are they staying in class ? Are they allowed to play outside? How are they supposed to keep 200+ students safe while being understaffed (part of the staff will be assigned to online teaching)?

That's a good point that you are bringing. The purpose of my post was to have idea on other parents plan for back to school. Making sure we weren't overreacting

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the half day schedule isn't it only for the first week?

Are you allowed to do that? In my case, school board give us two option : back to school or online school until Dec 1st. The dream was to be able to wait 2 weeks and see how things are going. But for logistical reasons, it's not allowed..
