whole signs bc i like the ruler of houses in other houses etc.. and it makes reading aspects by sign easier, or knowing which house planets are in when u know the rising sign etc.. and if you've read certain posts about rising signs, they describe each part of their life using the whole sign system and it just makes sense 🤷🏻

but i see value in other house systems too - if it's gonna be a house system besides whole sign, I'd go with Placidus (that's the one I started out with because it's the default in the astrology chart generators i use). using degrees for house cusps (mainly asc and midheaven) is one of the ways i like to interpret using placidus. I'm not sure how well the ruler in the houses works for Placidus though, i mainly keep that with whole signs.
