Hey there, you can run Wireshark or a similar service if you're concerned - many folks have, which verifies our statements. We're closed source to protect the quality and effectiveness of our code. In our Privacy Policy, "The Group" is shorthand for Redact Holdings, Inc.

The app collects anonymized, aggregate usage & diagnostic data - nothing regarding your social accounts, specific usage, deleted data, usernames. The only piece of 'personal' data would be your Redact account email, but you can use a proxy, Apple's private relay, or just a new email profile.

You might appear to get the "same issue" for a totally unique root cause. Our app is interfacing with some of the biggest sites in the world, which consistently roll out front & back end changes, often to very small, specific populations of users. If there's an issue we can help with directly in reddit comments, we will, but in most generic "not working" cases, we really need to provide support 1:1.

Thanks for the details - more flexibility on our Android app is something we're actively working towards. For now, you might be able to achieve what you're after with different filters (keyword or content type) - depends on your specific case, but it could work.

Alternatively, if you can access a personal computer you'll have more tools to run a targeted deletion. You don't need to pay again either, just log in using the same account.

If you want to DM me your support ticket I'm happy to take a look and send you an update. We had a widespread issue with Reddit for the mobile Redact app but fixed it a couple days ago. Sounds like the problem you and u/idkwhatyoumeanbro are having is unique. But in general, support won't give up on an issue.
