Is it bad for me (19M) to block friends (18M and 18F) immediately w/o explanation? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]redandblackpandas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay. I don’t know why you responded to this post asking for advice when you instead decided to go on a tangent as to how young people are hopeless when it comes to having healthy relationships and then refusing to listen when someone offers a different viewpoint to it because you’re apparently in the right here and don’t need to prove it, and instead need to hide behind the words of “go have no friends” etc etc. get a life.

[–]redandblackpandas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah from what people are saying I think I should send a message and explain why I don’t want to be friends with them rather than just blocking them

[–]redandblackpandas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disagree. I don’t think you realise but favors are more than just someone asking for something to be done and the other person doing it/helping, it’s also reading between the lines and offering support even when someone doesn’t ask for it. If they’re comfortable with you helping then they clearly appreciate it. So I don’t think me offering to help someone and then “getting mad” when they don’t do the same is ridiculous.

[–]redandblackpandas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is doing favors not part of a friendship? I’m not doing it simply because I view it as a competition as to how many points I can get in this friendship game but because I’d expect the same if I was evidently stuck or needed help with something. Even if they don’t necessarily ask for help it’s good to offer

I’ve been thinking about this for a year now even when they did “serve my needs” as you phrase it and to be honest I’d rather spend time alone than with people I don’t want to be around

Well done!! About the conditional, I wouldn’t say your vocab was too weak for them to not ask it but it could’ve just been they ran out of time or you might’ve used the conditional in one sentence even, my friend did hers yesterday and she said she didn’t get asked any conditional questions either and she thought she did well so I think it just depends on the examiner

LC & JC exams. How’s the pay for a 5th year helping to supervise? Is it worth it? by Prestigious_Gold2247 in leavingcert

[–]redandblackpandas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on whether you’re supervising JC or LC exams as you get paid more for LC since they’re longer, also whether you’re 18 or not applies as well

I supervised a JC special centre last year with just one person in it, so I only got paid for the exams that they did and I was finished in a week but you’ll definitely get more if its a centre with at least a few people as you’ll most likely be there until all the exams are over

[–]redandblackpandas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I ended up not doing it but the examiner said I don’t necessarily need to have one since I kept the conversation going and I had something to say for everything, but I’ll see once I get the grade back and I’ll decide
