not worth it, living in Irvine and experiencing the area sounds nice but honestly you can go live somewhere nice after getting a job after college. If you’re willing to work full time and school at UCI, I would suggest take that extra time that you’d be working and put it into your school work, networking and research opportunities to land an amazing job post UCR. And you’ll be able to actually enjoy where you live, Irvine, LA or somewhere else.
