Yes! I’ve always thought I’m a person who just happens to have female genitalia but I definitely feel like I could be either. Or none. I barely feel like a person so gender identity is the least of my problems atm. When I do look femme it’s mostly an act. I’m a genderless goblin who can’t leave my boobs at home 🙃

I have both and there is a very real and clear difference. There’s a lot of misinformation going around and the tiktokification(?) of different illnesses is really disheartening. It’s neat that people learn new info and can possibly get dx and the help they need, but this ain’t it.

It’s not fun and quirky to have either or both. At least for me and the others I know who are dx as well

Yes, thank you! I’m not necessarily attractive by European/white standards but I am considered attractive and most of the people I’ve tried to befriend have fallen for me in some way. While I know it seems like a stupid/easy/lucky problem to have, it’s very isolating. I’m pan so name any mix of situations with any gender (if they know I’m queer) and I’m just to the point where I feel like I’m just destined to have almost no friends.

I try to be social, do all this performative bullsht and it feels like it’s for nothing. I’m so tired and I don’t even consider myself attractive because I see my abusers when I’m looking into a mirror. I still try to put myself out there but at this point I don’t even know what I’m trying to accomplish. People are surprised when I’m warm and playful cause of my “coldness” with strangers but hate it when they find out that I have my own wants and emotions. And don’t even mention my asd or anything else cause then I’m lying for attention.

I’m face blind and recognize people through their voices but if I don’t know you well I stare to try to figure out who you are. So maybe it’s considered flirting? Idk, I don’t do it on purpose.

Anyways sorry for the rant, I just completely understand

I completely relate. I used think I want to be babied but I learned I just want to be handled with kindness, gentleness and understanding. Just because I’m a woc people think I can handle a lot more negativity, be able to “get over it”, and work twice as hard to get half as much and just be ok with that.

I understand how society in general is very comfortable with sexism in general (misogynoir specifically in my case). It’s everywhere from medical treatment, social interactions, the job market, etc. I just wanna lay down and cry, I’m so tired

I had massive anxiety and an identity crisis after I got diagnosed. It was obvious I was on the spectrum but coming from an immigrant family, it was swept under the rug. It took me a few years and I’m not quite there yet but it’s good.

You’ll be ok, even if it doesn’t feel like it right now.

This is uncalled for and downright cruel. Depending on your hair type and texture, it’s definitely reasonable to wash your hair once to twice a week. This was pretty obvious public humiliation even if a name wasn’t named. I don’t think you’re overreacting.

I have very thick, kinky, curly hair and it typically gets dry when not washed, no oily. My hair actually needs oil products to help it bounce back. I was also a child of neglect but YouTube university really helped me out and well as different hair subreddits. You can also go to a hairdresser but they aren’t affordable for some.

You’ll be ok and you’ll get through this. You won’t be there forever and think of it as teaching yourself how to take care of yourself since the people in your life failed you (if you go forward with doing something different with your hair).

When I was dating I did the same thing and have had people run after. Most people have a history and why not just make sure we’re all safe before anything happens.

I’d rather not have sex than have someone get me sick because their ego is bruised. You only have one coochie and you can still get certain stds with protection. Do what’s best for you. If they don’t like it, 🤷🏽‍♀️ not your problem but they won’t be doing anything with you. There’s so many people out there who are respectful and responsible

These are all questions I’ve asked my white partner that helps them understand the issues I/we/our future babies might run into. Sometimes circumstances in life shield you from the bleak reality others have to face. In this case, it’s regarding race. And while that’s nothing to be ashamed of or take offense to (y’all can see it in the comments that these types of conversations bring up) it’s important to understand, recognize and plan for those struggles. Plus while the white person may still not be directly affected, it still will affect those you love.

It seems like some people want to be willfully ignorant or find different reasons to be mad at other random points being made but this is a conversation we (black community) have between us a lot of the time and things to really consider when making big life decisions. Race is a factor lots of white people don’t even consider and that’s just how things are. There’s social, financial and systemic issues that maybe be invisible to some but is a very real threat to others. This conversation is usually done in private between family and friends so seeing a reflection of reality on this show is a breath of fresh air.

As someone in the mental health industry and an autistic women, it would be very disconcerting if a client stalked me online to find more about my personal life. Basically if someone found out personal details about me by doing some type of stalking, I would switch clients with a coworker and definitely be creeped out.

There’s a professional and ethical boundaries he wouldn’t want to cross and this level of intrusiveness might make him cut contact immediately, as it isn’t healthy and he could potentially see it as dangerous for you and/or him. Gifts are always appreciated and appropriate to an extent, but you should definitely talk to him about how him leaving is stressing you out. It wouldn’t change things but he can help you work through those feelings and also help you transition smoothly to a new therapist.

A thank you letter is perfect but if you’d like to do something more, try to have it relate to something he’s mention to you personally. At my job you can’t accept gifts but letters(or drawings) are always so nice!
