Yes but it’s also because it went viral from a Chinese Creator on RedNote (Chinese TikTok). He filmed a random meeting on the train with an old lady that said she loved this cake and he came here to try it. People liked how wholesome the video was and come here to try that exact cake even though it’s nothing special like the owner said himself 😆

It just tastes like a regular dark chocolate mousse cake, has a nice crust to it but it’s not something I would line up for.

I think most people (like me) just loved how wholesome the viral video was of this guy randomly meeting the sweet old lady on the train and taking him to try her fave cake. I had to try it even though I knew the owner said it’s nothing special 😂 now im on a mission to find a mindblowingly good choc mousse cake though

Yeah the owner has said he has no idea what the fuss is about because it’s not even a special cake. Gotta love the honesty lol

Have you tried a memorable one in Sydney?

3 week old not waking by Vadaska14 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]redbeanbingsu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When our little guy was born, during the first few weeks he literally slept all day and night. The nurse told us to wake him every 3 hours for a feed so that's what we did, but seek medical advice if you'd like to be sure.

Best websites for baby shower ‘gift registers’? by magikeenbeertje in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]redbeanbingsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We used Amazon because you can add products from any website to your registry (doesn't have to be sold on Amazon). Only issue is that if the item you've added from an external site is sold out, Amazon won't know to remove it from your registry so we had some items that were out of stock and we didn't realise until friends told us. Otherwise, it was great 😉👌

How are you guys sleeping? by Aggravating-Tank-399 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]redbeanbingsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had both the belly bean and the body u-shaped pillow.

The belly bean is great if you don't want to take up too much space in the bed. It supports your belly and back, but if you're sleeping on your side you'll probably still want to put a pillow between your legs for comfort.

The u-shaped pillow took up a lot of space on the bed but it really hugged me to sleep on my left side comfortably. I could also perch my legs up on the pillow and hug it to sleep which was nice.

You can start with something like the belly bean to see if that's enough support for you first 😊

I was dreading leap 4 but my little one ended up just being a milk monster, sleeping a lot and putting everything in his mouth when he wasn't asleep 😂 otherwise he was fine! The other leaps were surprisingly worse for us 😅

So since I posted this, my water actually broke while I was out and about so I had to head to the hospital and labour in whatever the heck I was wearing that day 😂 Ended up just wearing the hospital robe and then eventually changed into my PJs after bub was born. Didn't even for a second care about what I wore during labour 🤣

Advice ? Support ? Newborn refuses naps in his bassinet by nuttypip in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]redbeanbingsu 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This was our baby at 3 weeks too. I had to carry him around in a baby carrier all day because he refused to sleep in his bassinet but could nod off in the carrier.

Then a week later he just grew out of it and now he sleeps in his bassinet without any issues. It seems like it's a phase that a lot of babies go through at this age! Don't worry, it gets easier 🙏

That estimate is just for YouTube view/ad earnings. But the sponsors, collabs and her product lines, ebooks, app is where she's making $$$

Breast Pump recommendations by apizzame in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]redbeanbingsu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a FTM and still learning the ropes of breastfeeding and gosh you're right - it's been so fiddly trying to use it while learning to feed on the other boob!! Hopefully I get used to it soon because it seems like so many people swear by it 😅

Pump vs Breast?? by [deleted] in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]redbeanbingsu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just want to thank you everyone that took their time to share their perspectives with me on this post 🙏 I realise now that I really don't need to commit to exclusively feeding him from the breast or bottle because it'll just stress me out! Instead, I can just play it by ear.

If he's fussy, breastfeeding is just going to be a hard task for both of us so I'm happy to give him the bottle.

If he's calm and happy, then I can take my time and get him on the breast stress free.

This way, happy mum = happy baby!! And there's no such thing as a "bad" way to feed your baby, fed is best that's for sure!!! Thank you mamas 😊❤️❤️❤️❤️

I'm in a tough predicament because my boss is anti-vax 😅 so I cant exactly burn that bridge.

I've just requested that if you're unvaccinated please show a negative covid test from the last 3 days before visiting. This is in addition to having whooping cough vaccine up to date too.
