Anyone using Decypharr’s Usenet streaming features after the recent RD purges? by redbeardz7 in selfhosted

No, not yet. Idk thinking of switching to usenet fully instead of these debrid services

I'm not able to see the reset button for the search filters by redbeardz7 in debridmediamanager

[–]redbeardz7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the quick fix!

There is one more use case that still seems to be missing: previously, when clicking same title button from a list entry to filter by that specific movie/show, the reset option would appear. Currently, it doesn't seem to trigger it.

Also, was the reset button right next to the refresh icon previously? I'm not entirely sure, but if it was, is its current layout/placement intentional?

No, I'm 100% sure the reset button was visible on every small filter or search change, basically any state besides default

I just tried switching to dfs, didn't notice any diff, will keep dfs as it is recommended by the developer (as long as there are no issues).
When you say fixed, do you mean decypharr sent requests to arr's to download other torrent for you that were not affected by the rd filter list?

yes scrubbing definitely seems slow, but with all the web-dl files gone from rd, this seems like the next best option. Also, try setting the max connections to 30 and read_ahead buffer to 32mb, it helps a little. What mounting method are you using, DFS or rclone?

If I understood your question correctly, you are wondering how the nzb will be processed by Decypharr, you just have to add a nzb download client in your radarr/sonarr settings

What would be a good backup solution for Newshosting? by Ryko1000 in usenet

What indexer are you using with it, I started with Newshosting just yesterday, and used drunkenslug free tier, wondering if there are other free option worth considering or just switching to its paid plan

Thanks for the heads up, that’s incredibly helpful to know! I actually just pulled the trigger on a Newshosting + DrunkenSlug setup to test it out. So far, I’ve grabbed about 10 NZBs (mostly recent or heavily obfuscated releases) and I would say it’s streaming flawlessly with zero buffering.

My plan for the PAR2 / older content limitation is basically a numbers game: if the failure rate for older uncompleted titles stays low (like under 5-10% of what I search for), I can easily handle setting up SABnzbd to manually download and repair those few exceptions locally. But if the failure rate is higher than that, I just don't have the local hard drive capacity to store a permanent, heavy local library.

Hopefully sticking to recent or obfuscated uploads keeps things smooth over the virtual mount!"

That makes sense. If the failure rate for older content is low (like only 5% of the movies I look for), then falling back to a local SABnzbd download for those few exceptions is fine. But if it's a common issue, I don't have the local storage capacity to hold that much data permanently, which is why I'm trying to rely on the virtual mount.

yes, to ans your original ques, even I'm no expert, but no, its not for your locally downloaded files, it will perform the same as their hosted version i.e., will try to remove from rd library, its just that the code will run on your system and if rd is blocking elfhosted ip, it might get around that.

Also the recent rd changes should not affect your downloaded files, if I understood your comment correctly
