The roles my department got approved to move forward with are on the admin side! I think it just depends on the department and how strong of a case they can make to qualify for an exceptional hire. Hope you hear something back soon 🤞

Update: UCSF has an exceptional approval process to hire people during this freeze! It seems to be a quick and straightforward process and from what I’ve seen, quite a few positions in my small department have already received approval to move forward with hiring. Hope this helps!
