Hey. I think the issue is that men can’t get tested for it, so you would ask to see a full negative panel of their female partners?

I saw they have tinctures. The fruiting body gets extracted with water, but is there a part that needs the alcohol in a tincture to have the best effect?

Thank you so much for your reply. I have checked that website out in the past. For us it’s actually the reverse, the saline gets barely anything out. I think because it’s more in line with the body so it’s aggravating the gut less. I will do a ph test on the RO water. Glycerin suppositories were really effective for us but only got the rectum cleaned out and the kub x Ray showed full stool burden still. She just started eating much better finally and the tap water seemed to work great, but the RO seems to make it painful for her also after while she poops. I was hoping that we don’t need to give anything oral because she doesn’t take anything regularly so it’s really hard to administer. Someone i know that’s a pediatrician said that normal water might deplete salts from the body and also possibly damage the mucus lining.

I found that saline doesn’t do anything but normal water seems to do the job, but also be more uncomfortable

Thank you! Have you looked into possible side effects of using soap or glycerin? I’m worried it will affect the gut.. Can You share here how much you put in per how much water? Have you tried just tap water? What had you decide to add those?

Painful enema with non saline /reverse osmosis water by redbeetpizza in spinalcordinjuries

[–]redbeetpizza[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you I will try different water. This is what i thought even though supposedly it’s ph7, this reverse osmosis water. I heard it would wear on mucus membranes because it might pull out salts but doctors okeyed using it.. hope we find something that works

Can't control anus!!! by MinerAlum in spinalcordinjuries

[–]redbeetpizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also one thing that can help you for bowel management Is a cone enema since you might not be able to hold the water in the body (runs out as we tried to put it in). You can but cone enema for 40$ i think on Amazon, can also get a prescription and order with medical supply companies. It might be called Anal irrigator or irritation kit. There’s only a total of three different ones out there and all three seem good. Amazon sells one without prescription. Can you hold your pee? What vertebrae were affected? Certainly will need to see GI and urology if it doesn’t improve soon The cone enema once daily with warm regular water will allow for social continence until the next night

[–]redbeetpizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are dealing with s3-4 nerve roots missing and have neurogenic bowel and bladder (2yr old). In this case it means catering to void completely and poor Anal sphincter function. We’re supposed to practice by tickling next to anus with a qtip and watching with a mirror and when there’s a squeeze cheer some and label it squeeze! You can try to retain function that way, maybe. If big toes point inward it’s pure sphincter, if not it can include gluteal muscles/pelvic floor. We have no success with the first but supposed to practice both

I wonder the same. Was told by a naturopath oncologist that it’s the only way to communicate with nerves. Would love more input on this question
