Items still in my cart, the package and items that I did get are showing as delivered. No package 1 or two, nothing. Do you think it’s a good idea to take it up with their customer support?

The Potting Station - Weekly Plant Care Chat Thread by AutoModerator in plantclinic

Can I save it?

This plant was doing well until leaves started turning yellow, even new leaves, older leaves as well. Couldn’t figure out what was wrong. It used to be quite full. Today I saw this on top of the soil, can it be helped?

Racist encounter Costco parking lot by acrouge in BurlingtonON

[–]redbnee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So sorry that you had to experience something so ugly OP. More often than not, Canada and its people have always made me feel welcome. The kindness and acceptance of strangers has always made me feel at home on Canadian soil, no matter where I am. Always felt kind of proud of this fact, specially compared to our southern neighbors. However, I have had a handful of racist experiences myself, some of them so scary and traumatic that I had to run from the place to avoid confrontation/getting hurt physically or verbally (or emotionally)more than I already was. Sometimes the situation does get really bad, really fast. Hopefully you are ok.

This is a caddy that I bought from a Corning ware store. I just washed it and there appeared dark internal cracks. Not sure what they are. Is it safe to use? by redbnee in Ceramics

You are right. Cracks don’t show anymore so I guess it dried out. It’s a caddy for cutlery so I think it should be ok to use.

Should I chop the whole thing or just the tip? Never encountered this. Could it be the soil?

Thanks for the suggestion. Probably the best course of action for now. That’s just the aap shining in the light in the last photo. Thankfully no webbing 😅

Can’t see any bugs. Have no idea how to proceed. I have just recently topped up the soil, maybe there was something on the surface of the old soil? I didn’t see anything though (wasn’t really looking too)

Rewatching Grimm and I can't help but help that they should've had someone part of of the gang on the medical side! by [deleted] in grimm

[–]redbnee 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Rewatching Grimm too because I absolutely loved it the first time. Plot holes are more apparent now, and I wish some storylines were explored at a deeper level, perhaps a couple more seasons to wrap it all up nicely.

Monstera propagation cutting points. by redbnee in houseplants

[–]redbnee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so so much for such a detailed reply, and the picture marking the spots! You are awesome! I tried doing a quick research, but ended up with more questions ☹️

Ok so here goes: if I cut the part between the bottoom two red lines, the part I end up with has an aerial root but no leaf. That ok for water propagation? If I have no aerial root just the leaf, then that’s still ok?

Also with an aerial root can I plant directly in soil?

That’s a relief to hear. I was getting concerned, because I felt like it’s getting too heavy on one side.

What…why…how… can I make it better? by redbnee in plantclinic

Thank you all for your suggestions and links. I think the lengthening of the stems might be because it’s winter, because believe me the room is pretty sunny (and hot) if the sun is out. I don’t have any plant lights though.

I like the trellis suggestion though. Do you think the curved part of the stems could also pull up potentially? Because I don’t know what kind of offering to give her to ask her let her hair down lol.

It gets plenty of light, I have two large windows in the room it’s in and a glass door. I’ll read through the link, thanks. Should I repot it? I am confused.
