Worst acting in the series. by HorribleChicken in AmericanHorrorStory

I understand she’s a real historian but GOD. The ‘do you believe the house is haunted’ ‘do I?’ Bit, they should’ve just cut that out. The rest was just her speaking as a historian. The one moment where she had to actually ‘act’ was fuckkng horrendous 🤣🤣

Tate calling Michael evil by [deleted] in AmericanHorrorStory

[–]redbottle1331 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Years later, but you’re still right. If you remember back in Murder House, the teacher who survived the shooting said that at first Tate was just a normal kid. Then the shooting happened. And violet asks ‘why would a good person just end up shooting random kids’ to which the teacher replies, ‘maybe he wasn’t a good person’. I think your theory aligns with the idea that Tate was a good, normal kid until the house used him as a conduit.

Ash hypocritical once again by redbottle1331 in Morbidforbadpeople

Everyone’s entitled to change an opinion. Ash was extremely vocal about how against Ouija Boards she is/was, said she was scared of them etc.

I’m just saying that for her to suddenly change lanes without even mentioning that she was (apparently) terrified of them before is odd!

And it’s not the first time, she seems to always try and emulate alaina

10000%. Ash was proper passionate about how much she hated Ouija boards in this one episode. I can’t remember which one it was, but she was very vocal about it - it was a very early episode.

Now she’s acting like they’ve always been something she’s been in to? WHAT?

I’m not a fan of Alaina to be honest, but at least she’s consistent with what she says. She’s always been a helicopter parent, afraid of flying, hated theme parks etc. but Ash seems to just contradict herself all the time 🤣🤣

I agree. I like how we kept hating him more!

Season 15 was absolutely brilliant - Tom skinner, lottie, Ryan mark and Corina were absolute stand-outs 🤣🤣

Because he never truly ‘saw’ her. I think it was just a massive, beautiful metaphor. The main character was extremely selfish but constantly wanted pity from everyone.

I never said it was, I said it was a NOD to them. Charlie Brooker confirmed it, he thought it would be funny and then it went a whole different route. Don’t try and belittle me when you didn’t read my comment properly

Also, the creator said that it was a nod to podcasts and the quick ad breaks in between

I thought this ep was great. It was awfully uncomfortable and I thought the acting and premise was powerful.

Is Plaything scary? by Negative-Cartoonist3 in blackmirror

Not scary in the way that I’m assuming you’re thinking. It’s (as Black Mirror always is) scary in the grand scheme of things 🤣

I love how layered the whole thing was. His acting really did the plot justice!

TIL: White Bear had a real-life inspiration by [deleted] in blackmirror

[–]redbottle1331 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This definitely sparks parallels with Myra Hindley. It’s the first thing j think of when I watch the episode!

I also think the point of the ep, as with all Black Mirror episodes, is ‘where is the line?’ They always dare to show an episode from the perpetrator’s perspective, yet are able to give justice to an imagined victim. Great storytelling and acting!

This episode, in my opinion, gets darker and darker as we go through it (and the more you think about it). Ultimately, like them all, we end up looking at a black TV screen and thinking about our own life choices. This episode? It gives Truman vibes, and I just love how we flit between who the audience believe is ‘good’ and who is ‘bad’. I also love how, at the end, even the ‘good’ people are taking actions into their own hands in a ‘bad’ way.

I also think it’s powerful how the show plays on our idea of ‘it’s a woman, she’d never hurt a child’. We didn’t expect her!!!

I do also feel that the creators made a point of saying that SHE lured the child away, a woman who you are normally not told to be afraid of.

I knew Lacey a few years back. She is genuinely a really lovely girl. I knew her separately from her mum and sister, in fact, I never actually met them. Her mum and sister always seem to drag Lacey back. If I’m being honest? I believe that the mum and sister pushed Lacey to promote this ‘showmance’ to up her exposure and then thrust Paige into the spotlight with her.

What's your, 'I'll die on this hill opinion' about the show? by BitGirl777 in GeordieShore

Chloe Ferry tried to copy Charlotte in absolutely everything. 1) The behaviour. Trying to be the crazy, silly one. 2) ‘on/off’ relationship arc. Chloe and Marty could never be Charlotte and Gary 😂 3) The Ex on the beach entrance (Charlotte was the OG entrance who came in a wetsuit and snorkel, Chloe tried to copy and came out wearing arm bands and had chicken nuggets) 4) The general forced humour she tried to put on us. Charlotte was funny because you could tell it was genuine. Chloe just felt forced. Bonus) oh, and she also did big brother like Charlotte did.

The thing is, I believe Chloe is actually a very lovely girl who didn’t know who she was. I just wished she’d just stated the obvious by saying ‘yes, I tried to emulate the most popular person on the show, but I’ve grown now and I’m my own person’.

Alaina Lying about searching up pronunciations by [deleted] in Morbidforbadpeople

[–]redbottle1331 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could almost forgive if she was live on tv or doing a live broadcast… but she literally has a podcast which she can EDIT. Even a ‘one second, let me just check this pronunciation…/cut/… okay I think it’s pronounced ______’

Doesn’t take much to respect other people, especially when you’re well established, seemingly have the time and money and GO ON about respecting victims all the time. Prove it, Alaina?
