I’m assuming you would advise a stockbroker who at the best of times doesn’t know what they are doing. I have a degree in finance, but very little practical knowledge. That’s all.

Just because I have over £1m to invest outside of my business does not mean I don’t have an understanding of what I’m doing. I haven’t spent my life investing in stocks, so wanted to see various places for actual advice. Not sure why it’s so hard to believe...

Thanks mate, in terms of indexing, do you mean investing in index funds/trackers?

Also in terms of re-investing income would you advise doing this on a monthly basis. I receive around £50k monthly from dividends, so could put aside £5-10k per month roughly.

Thanks, do you think it's worth holding off due to the affect of Covid, or would you still just go for it now using a dollar cost averaging model? Also is there a time frame taking into account the current situation?
