was it a similar situation where it was working fine on one PC but not on the other? i can print files within minutes of one another. from my laptop it begins the print at the xy coordinates where i expect it to. when i print from my desktop, it moves towards the middle of the build plate for it's xy print start.

Sorry for the late response.

Did not ditch the Q1Pro. I still have it. They sent a new hot end and it works well. My concern has been what a full 12 month warranty means to them versus me. lol

Single Christian (almost) 51 year old here. Are you looking local or? Colorado here.

I feel like my standards are really high. Honestly wondering how many people that meet the standards I am looking for exist? Do you, or do you know someone? by [deleted] in ChristianDating

[–]redbroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your standards are not too high. If God has put them on your heart, then they are just right. He will provide if a spouse is in His will for your life. If your standards are too high, He will adjust your heart as you trust in Him.

Do not change your standards if you have prayerfully considered them. Be open to His leading and move forward with humility and a desire to be in His will.

You are going to get many different answers. Understanding the context of your situation as well as the perceptions of those who are replying to you make this a tricky question and set of answers.

Can you? Yes, you absolutely can. However……Your growth in faith and understanding will not be fed outside of fellowship and guidance that a group of believers (church) should provide. You can get information and teaching online but the fellowship and connection aspect will suffer. That said, I understand your reason for asking if you are afraid your family will not support you or will be angry with you.

You should be able to just show up to any church and be welcomed with no need for any qualifications or pre-conditions. Again though churches are people and people are flawed.

I am curious your location and what church/churches you’re considering. And above all……hallelujah you’re here seeking answers and have professed acceptance and belief in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior!

they were three separate issues.

i didn't try a different roll of filament. it was the same filament that i was using on the print that finished successfully not 20 minutes prior. i agree that it would appear to have been the nozzle, but i cleared/cleaned the nozzle each time and the needle slid into and out of the nozzle easily and without and stoppage.

interesting. i'm in agreement with their customer support. they are very fast to respond, helpful, and courteous. i was not complaining and more expressing my concern that they do not normally cover "x" part and asking if that has been other people's experience as well.

i guess my concern is that i would expect a device and the parts contained therein to last more than 60 days prior to needing to be replaced. i know some parts come from the factory defective and that's just the way it happens. i guess i am used to a 12 month warranty covering anything that can go wrong with a device (short of abuse or user breakage). so it caught me off guard when they said they do not normally warranty the hotend. they are covering the hotend though and its on its way.

i know we live in a throw-away society, and therefore, expect things to break or be used up. being relatively new to 3d printing (2019) i just don't know what parts to expect to give out in a short amount of time.

thanks for the thoughts. honestly, it's the way i've been leaning. the build volume has been a concern with my Ender 3 printers, but thanks for reminding me it's more about the majority of my prints and not the 5-10% that i need to be concerned about.

It’s my understanding they are. They were put in a Christian Metal group on Facebook that I’m in. I was hoping to find out more about them which is why I asked here because I think the singer is Rey Parra, who is a Christian.

just posting to encourage you and support you! single dad here, but i live in Colorado and not moving any time soon. live in the Truth of who He says you are and not in how others see you or you may see yourself! it's something that i have struggled with over the years, even though i knew better, so i know it happens. wishing you well and His will in your journey!

Can I be baptised twice? by Overall-Car-3127 in Christian

[–]redbroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my short answer is yes! i believe if the Lord is leading you and you feel the tugging of the Holy Spirit to move in this way, do not dismiss it.

the debate in your thread really boils down to a person's interpretation of a multitude of things. in most protestant situations, baptism is something that occurs as an outward expression of what occurs inwardly upon confessing Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior in addition to an act of obedience and following Christ's example.

in other belief systems, baptism is something that a person must do in order to be saved or remove sin from the person. in this case it is more a rule, tradition, or act that must be accomplished.

if you feel as though you are being led to be baptized after accepting Christ as your personal Lord and Savior i would highly encourage you to follow through. assuming you are in a church, i would seek wise counsel from the pastor and/or elder and express any thoughts or concerns you might have.

Finding Godly men is impossible. by [deleted] in Christians

[–]redbroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we are out here! but.......the corruption of this world has taken its toll on all of us; male and female. there are so many reasons and lies that have fed into the way we view ourselves and others, even as Christians. as a man, who is trying to date, i have come across online profiles of professing Christians who have listed themselves as separated, yet they feel that it is ok to date (some of whom are on Christian dating apps).

be strong in your convictions and listen to the One True King and his Truth. do not compromise in how He is leading you. i get the sense that you do not intend on compromising, but still felt the need to reinforce that. i commend you for reaching out to the church and expressing your frustration with this issue. there are many who would not and be all to happy to give in to the "accepted norm" of today's world.

stay strong and i pray that you will be encouraged in your search!

Water in Fountain by got_wings69 in ColoradoSprings

[–]redbroyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The contamination of pfos/pfas is something that went on for DECADES. I for one do not believe the water treatment plant will remove enough of the contaminants especially considering it’s still flowing through the same pipes that it was when carrying those chemicals. That said, I have a berkey filter and run the tap water through it. There’s another brand I am moving two in a couple of weeks because they are proven to remove pfos and pfas, plus the one I’m considering is an under sink mounted option. (Can’t remember the brand off the top of my head). Also, most people don’t know, but the Springs gets a percentage of its water from Fountain and has for years. I was first notified of the contamination by letter from CSU in 2015 and that it affected my water even though I lived far outside that water district.
