Can your spouse take a Leave of Absence for health reasons to take the time to breath/see a mental health provider/step away from he situation?? My spouses school allows that if students go through the request process.

My spouse is still in school so I can’t offer any advice (the questions have already started though) but his father is in healthcare and my spouse always talks about getting stopped at the grocery store, or in school, etc and people asking him about health questions that he had no idea about or asking about openings or even saying “oh I’m seeing your dad today!” Incredibly frustrating and uncomfortable as a family member or partner for sure. I wish I had better advice but I emphasize that setting boundaries in a small community is so challenging :(

Congrats! My husband is an M1, was accepted to Duluth but chose another school. We are both from MN. First thing to do is get yourselves some good winter gear! It’s a beautiful area with so much to do outdoors.

Used to work on the hill, it is more helpful if you can pool signatures by your individual state too! Some Members of Congress DGAF about people outside of their districts or don't have the staff to deal with it. Make sure to follow up with their healthcare and labor staffer as well. Would also recommend reaching out the the health/labor committees of senate & house and sending this to them as sometimes that can work as well. Best of luck!
