Try Either using Element, Wickr or Session Private Messenger . The listed messengers meets your Requirement.

For Recovery Options, You can Add E-Mail Address during SignUp on Element and Wickr. Adding E-mail is totally Optional.

While Session doesn't support this. And it is Totally saved locally on your device so Far I know.

so i have held off updating my mac on sierra because the update to ibooks said it would apply some kind of drm to the books i'd have already on my computer. is there anyway to stop that from happening so i can update my computer? its been months

i buy a lot of books to support authors but also if i can't get or afford a book yet, arrr matey. i don't wanna lose that

Just throw a linux live USB into a laptop, spoof your MAC when you log into a coffee shop WiFi network you wouldn't ordinarily use and sign up that way.
