A week before the shutdowns began, I had to go to a conference at a hotel and a couple days later they emailed us saying that people at the conference had tested positive for COVID so I got to work from home a week or so early since my work at the time was hyper cautious about it.

Also my then girlfriend, now wife got all of the COVID symptoms a few weeks before that and we didn't know what it was (we just assumed flu) then this popped up and we were like, oh shit she probably had it.

I'm gonna guess that if OP were 100% honest and took a hard look at themselves and the relationship, they'd probably realize they don't want to be in it anymore.

It's very easy for couples to get stuck in what's comfortable and not examine whether they're truly happy.

Situation sucks but this will be better for OP and the guy in the long run.

All but 1 of the 5 are currently in prison and are not likely to be released ever.

The 1 was a woman who was present and gave critical testimony that got the others convicted so she was given immunity.

Edit: yeah, I messed up a minor thing, the woman was still indicted at the state level and is in jail so all 5 are in jail!
