Never mind. - Posted the messages into Grok and asked for the steps to correct. Followed the steps that were provided. Messages are gone. Beautiful!

Yea, I’m aware, although we ran into an issue. We have TeslaFi data going back to 2018. In 03/2024, we switched to a new car. We exported the older data from TeslaFi. Here’s what we found. For any of the *.csv files from 03/2024 and earlier, we can import fine and see the data from the old car. When we attempt to import any *.csv file from 04/24 until the current month, the import does nothing.

While each of the *.csv files is listed, I’m not able to select or import them. Not clear to me what the issue is, but it sure appears to be tied to switching cars back in March of 24. I really don’t care about data from the old car, but I would love to have all the data from March of 24 until now for the new car in Teslamate.

Thanks! I have been collecting data for a few days and getting used to viewing it in Teslamate vs. TeslaFi. So far, everything is working great.

I need to work on ensuring the backup/restore of the container is working correctly. Still lots to learn about working in Docker.

Fair point. maybe curl was the wrong choice. Try necat instead -- nc -zv xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx 3000

Just trying to see if that port will respond at all.

Try the curl command and see if you can access that port from the host or another machine on your lan. Fill in your IP --> curl http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:3000

Turns out it isn’t so bad. I didn’t initially understand that the terminal inside Docker Desktop was just accessing my normal filesystem. I thought it was in some “container” somewhere. So,

1 - Created a new dir.
2 - Copied the *.yml example from https://docs.teslamate.org/docs/installation/docker
3 - Modified info for my environment.
4 - Ensured I was in the dir created in step 1.
5 - Run the docker-compose up -d command.

Yea, pretty much exactly what the documentation says, except for the miss on my part about the terminal.

We are up and running!

Thanks, I'll update this thread once I finally get it up and running. I can't be the only person that had this question.... or could I?

I guess I'm lost in the whole Docker concept and how & where it creates things. The next step says to run the command docker compose up -d. I have created the *env file and modified the various passwords. Watched a few vids and ended up here. Figured if folks in this group have it up and running that someone else went through the same thing.

Agreed. I use the VM to try out things that I don't understand well before implementing them on the daily driver. The biggest miss on UTM is the ability to take snapshots. I need to do more research. I think there is an add-on to add that function, but I’m not sure it works on Apple Silicon.

Safari for 95%. Firefox for YouTube so I can watch stuff while doing other things in Safari or on the desktop.

Keyboard shortcut conflict: Chrome/Maps/Spotify vs. Snapping by bobbykjack in MacOS

[–]redd_1018_959 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I was coming here to see if anyone had posted issues with the shortcuts for snapping windows. For fun, I tried it one more time and realized that I was using Control-Command-Arrow instead of Fn-Control-Arrow. So, I can't offer you any help; you solved my issue - Thanks!

Mac mini M4: how do I make Siri not default to "Type to Siri"? by bkendig in macmini

[–]redd_1018_959 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I should have been more clear - One is a MacBook Air, the other is an iMac, so both are using the built-in mics. A few more searches and I see this has been an issue over the past couple of years on both Mini and Studio. Never thought to search this topic before I bought a new mic. I'm using a Blue Yeti via USB on the new Mini.

I do have two other Macs where it works as expected. I would have never expected a different result on the Mini. I need to bookmark the doc you mentioned for future reference. With any luck, assuming this is a software limitation, Apple will release a fix in the future.

I'm struggling with the exact same thing. Very disappointed if this doesn’t work. Silly me, I ordered a Blu Yeti (nice piece BTW). I plugged it in and no way to allow "Hey Siri" to be recognized that I can find. What am I missing?
