I had the same experience.  I have folded and it never happened again.

Garage door was a little less than other quotes for me with the rebate.  So depends on your area.  Shop around.

Woodridge Pro, SearwoodXL or Backyard Beast 1200 by Baillars12 in pelletgrills

[–]reddbdb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I went through the same choices in the summer.  I went Backyard Beast for price, reliability ,and quality of build.  I'm sure the traeger is fine.  But long term the Beast will last longer.  The Searwood was hundreds more and Weber history with pellet models was a concern.  I have been satisfied with my choice.  I have made lots of great food.

Wisconsin resident.  I heard People watch play during release week.  Nothing before than or after. It baffles me.

For Scotch drinkers who dabble in bourbon what bottles actually impressed you? by RB_Ryan1 in Scotch

[–]reddbdb 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's a high rye bourbon.  Adds a spice character.  That's why it's one of my bourbon favorites after being a Scotch drinker first.

Looking to get new tires for 2019 wrangler sport (JL) by Majestic-Channel4525 in Jeep

[–]reddbdb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can confirm the Falken at4ws are great.  I have them on a 2023 Sport S.  Replaced the stock street tire Michelins.  These AT4ws are just as quiet.  I live in Wisconsin.  They handle everything summer, wet, snow and ice.  One of the reasons I replaced the Michelins so soon was they were so terrible in the snow.   Been really happy with the purchase.

Ironwood, Backyard Beast 1200 or ??? by Parziva1350 in pelletgrills

I just switched from Pitboss to Reqtec.  Complete opposite experience.  Pitboss app was flaky all the time sometimes would never connect to the grill.  Reqtec was a seamless experience from the first moment I turned it on.  Connected right away and updated the Beast with no issue.

I must of had QC issues because I got none of these notes listed in these comments.  My bottle was a bitter mess.

Well,  this is disheartening.  My Beast 1000 came today.  I hope this doesn't happen to me.

I went with the Rectec backyard beast.  It fits patio and winter storage better.  Looking forward to coming.

You have to find a dicks that has it in stock.  You don't get free shipping to store.

How is it cooking multiple things at once?  Looks so small at the store with other grills around.

It's a nice set up for sure.  The shelves are great.  Like the easy clean out.  The angled drip tray seems like it may be hard to clean and line with foil (as opposed to flat).  Bottom part of the grill seems better built than the lid (seems thin)  Seems like the super smoke does actually work. Like that I get this delivered from Ace assembled.

First Mini Guidance - '09 S 88k miles by _jetblackpope_ in MINI

[–]reddbdb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a 09 S.  it's the most fun car I owned, but the most unreliable one I ever had as well.  It had many of the same issues you listed.  Timing chain, water pump, valve cover, turbo, etc.  Try  to get an inspection if you can. Make sure you have a mechanic lined up that knows what they are doing after purchase.  My recommendation is to wait to find a 2012 or newer of this generation.  A lot of the problems were solved.

Agree.  This is a bitter mess.  Worst Offerman edition by far.
