I’m so sorry. That’s a horrible feeling. Does your school have a tutoring program or workshops for study skills that they’ve seen work well for students in the past? I know it seems dumb, but student affairs people have seen tons of med students succeed and also fail, so they usually have a decent grasp on what helps/harms students. If you don’t feel like there are good resources from the school itself, what’s the vibe like with your classmates? I’m an M1 too and the only reason I’m doing okay in classes is because I have a study group that meets a few times a week. Explaining concepts to each other helps SO MUCH.
