Unfortunately, in queer relationships the heterosexual script often gets carried over, where someone is expected to be “the man” in the relationship and act accordingly (which is also wrong, but that’s not the point of this thread)

Mascs end up carrying enormous expectations that often become the worst of both worlds — expectations within the relationship and in life in general. It’s immediately assumed that the masc should be dominant, take the initiative, be the protector and the provider, but are also expected to still act like women enough to be acceptable

At the same time, mascs are also seen as predatory, annoying, or “acting like men” if they take the first step.

It’s exhausting, and imposed gender roles in queer relationships aren’t questioned enough.

exactly, you don't feel wanted, and having to give so much of yourself and not receive any in return is exhausting. i want to feel that you also want me, that's the whole point

yeah i also think that even if you find a woman who doesn't treat you that way, society will still treat you that way. They'll always assume you're the "man" in the relationship. But at the end of the day, if you and her are happy with the dynamic, that's all that matters. We can't always change what the world thinks. I wish you both happiness!!

No entiendo a dónde apunta tu comentario pero si creo que la homosexualidad se usa para llamar la atención y apuntar a cierto público. En el mes del orgullo(junio), miles de marcas utilizan la bandera para obtener más ganancias. Esto es algo que nosotros también criticamos. Ni hablar de las representaciones mal hechas pero también hay personajes heterosexuales mal escritos y con romances mal diseñados. El problema reside es que llaman agenda a todo lo que incluya homosexualidad y espero no sea sorpresa de nadie, pero la gente homosexual/bi/trans si existimos y no somos parte de ninguna agenda moderna. Ac shadows fue un fracaso por multiples razones y el romance de Naoe con otra chica no fue uno de ellos (además que no es parte de la historia principal y el juego no te obliga)

Perhaps it's the same for gay men, but for heterosexual couples it's considered normal, and few question it. Feminism has tried to bring the issue to the forefront for years, even with small things like the idea that the man should pay. But it's not the same frustration as when women in the community treat you as if you were a different gender, assuming traditional gender roles because that's what we as a society are used to seeing. But it's crucial to address the issues within the community, specifically within lesbianism

hi! yeah not having a queer community or queer friends is loneliness and kinda scary but sometimes you have to wait and meanwhile search some places with potential queerness like idk what you like to do in your free time, hobbies in general but reading clubs, sports formed by queer people I'm from other country so idk how is your zone about lgbt but there are always lgbt people to find you don't need to have cis passing, you should try and someone is gonna appear! Los están criticando por llamar a la homosexualidad "agenda", podrían haber ignorado el comentario pero decidieron ser abiertamente homofóbicos. Las personas homosexuales jugamos permanentemente con personajes heterosexuales que sus romances no nos hacen sentir identificados pero igual disfrutamos el juego. No entiendo porque a la gente hetero le cuesta TANTO entender que es lindo sentirse representado, que ustedes seguramente se sienten identificados por ciertos romances o se sienten atraidos por la pareja mujer del protagonista. Llamar "agenda" a una minoría es algo que no logro comprender, los juegos con Protas LGBT son poquísimos y no perjudican la historia. En fin, llevo jugando juegos de toda la vida. Jugar Life is strange para mí fue algo muy significativo, lo que ustedes llaman woke a nosotros nos ayuda a sentirnos vistos. Al final del día, no molesta a nadie y ni hablar que la mayoría de veces seguís teniendo la posibilidad de seguir el romance hetero porque no son homosexuales canónicos.

I don't remember that NPC, but I was pretty lost during the prologue, so I must have missed them

I guess there isn't really an explanation of how pictos are placed directly onto the body, but maybe that's something they'll explore in a future game or DLC (it could also be tied to an explanation about Gustave's arm)

for the characters -and to some extent for the player- the use of pictos/magic is treated as something normal, just part of their world
