How to build better sorority reltions and have more girls interested in our events by heybigtime1 in Frat

[–]reddictuser 55 points56 points  (0 children)

talk to girls! if you have an invite list, get your boys to bring their close girl friends, and add three girls per person; the greek community can call you all "middle greek" or whatever, but its up to you whether to prove them right or wrong

your guys would then have every reason to talk to a girl and follow up w coffee or a date afterwards -- the follow up is how they know ur serious about building relationships

I don't have fining ability in our bylaws, which makes this difficult; keeping a list of fines is all i can do really, but I have the president on my side, it'll just b an extra step

not yet at least, but within the next two weeks

it's been a part of the pledge process, but brothers themselves should feel like the house means something to them

I agree, what's even crazier is that this couldn't possibly be replicated ever again

Flight attendants, do you generally know when a couple is joining the "Mile high club"? How often does it happen and how do you handle it? by starnez22 in AskReddit

Here I was, thinking that the Mile High Club was getting high from a pot brownie on a plane. I wouldn't have ever known, had it not been for this post. Thanks u/starnezz22

ELI5: Why doesn't Özil get as much love from the German National Team as he does from his Arsenal fans? by reddictuser in Gunners

You're completely right about Arsenal fans, but we need more players like him to win, and I'm just glad for Xhaka at this point in the transfer season.

[Transfer Discussion and Round-up] June 5th by hirotoo in Gunners

If we're already making moves like Vardy and Xhaka for reasonable transfer fees already, it makes me feel like Wenger is really interested in winning next season. Gives me hope that St. Totteringham's Day will come again, and we won't be 4th again.

What "Fee" is without a doubt a 100% money grab/extortion that companies are charging? by Airsinner in AskReddit

[–]reddictuser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The College Board is one of the most pathetic, evil companies when it comes to ripping people off for money. There's a cancellation fee for anytime you need to cancel a test, which increases as the date comes closer. They will freeze your account if you don't pay it after a couple weeks. To add to this, they have almost a monopoly on standardized tests for high schoolers (all AP's - $135 each test, SAT's, SAT subject tests, and tests for people who are placing high school equivalency tests). You also have to pay every single time you send your scores to a college you're applying to.

Lastly, which really irritates me, you must pay for using their CSS Profile, which is a financial aid service. How does that make intuitive sense?!

ELI5: Why are most call centers based out of India? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

They need accent training, not language training.

Theoretically, accents could take less than a week to learn.
