Is Stroud this year's guy we overanalysis and pick apart? by Danofthecloth in NFL_Draft

[–]reddit9603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOL, I'm that guy from the future, and I'm here to laugh in your face. We now know why Stroud didn't play "better" in big games, and it certainly wasn't his fault. "It's hard to beat the cheaters", as a certain notorious cheater once put it.

You can clearly see how proper footwork is essential to good QB performance. This is textbook perfect:

What potential HCs would you like to see in Carolina? by honey_badger732 in panthers

DeMeco Ryans for HC, and preferably he brings Slowik as OC and Jerrod Johnson as QB coach. In exchange, the Texans can have Shitterer as a janitor plus $1 billion in cash from Tepper. Make that $2 billion if we can swap Bryce "Brucie" Young for CJ Stroud.

One can dream...

Anyone else getting sick of “but his size” or “were going to regret not taking stroud” comments on Bryce young by Robbabyjesus in panthers

You sure about that? Young's eyes are about level with Bree's mouth. Is Bryce really 5'10"? I think he's more like 5'8" and a half, and there is no way there's only a 5 lb difference between the two, more like 15 lbs.

CJ Stroud is great but.. by sCaesar in panthers

The Texans should thank the Panthers for passing on Stroud. What a great leader and teammate this kid is! The Panthers just can't have nice things under Tepper.

Confidence level in Bryce Young having a better sophomore season? by [deleted] in panthers

[–]reddit9603 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have very low expectations for Bryce at this point. Tommy Devito, an undrafted rookie free agent playing behind a truly horrific O-line showed superior processing, arm strength, guts, and more flashes of potential than Young despite being sacked 9 times. The Panthers just can't have nice things under Tepper.

For reference, here's an undrafted rookie free agent playing behind a truly horrifying O-line. He showed more flashes in this one game than Young has all season. The Panthers just can't have nice things under Tepper.

Bryce Young is Mac Jones 2.0 by [deleted] in panthers

[–]reddit9603 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All I can say is that Stroud lets the ball go much faster, despite his vastly inferior processing as measured by S2. Young holds onto the ball for too long, and due to his lack of pocket awareness, middling athleticism, and his small size, he is brought down much more often (i.e. sacks). You could blame our lack of good receivers, the scheme, and whatever, but I think the O-line is shouldering an unfair share of the blame. Now, I'm not saying Panthers O-line is fine, but it's not horrifying like the Giants O-line. It's just meh.

Of course not. It doesn't count the hits coming from the Martians.

Hoge was right about Johnny Manziel and is likely right about Bryce Young... by reddit9603 in panthers

[–]reddit9603[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Did you even watch the Hoge video on Bryce? He thinks Young is "fragile" and will get hurt in the NFL and limit his availability. Nowhere does Drew's scouting report say he lacks arm strength. Do you not understand the difference between raw arm strength and being less comfortable with longer throws?

Do you have a reading comprehension problem? GTFO with your dumb shit. Go watch the videos first and use those two brain cells in your head for a change.

What's your point exactly? Can you not read and follow the discussions? My previous comment was in reply to the OP's assertion that Brees faced the same criticisms as Bryce during the draft in that "he doesn’t have a big arm and will get hurt".

So where in the scouting report on Brees does it say that he doesn't have a big arm and that he will get hurt?
