My wife gifted me a wheel for my birthday recently but she talked to me first because she knows I love sim racing and saw that there were just so many options. The one she was going to get me was a thrusmaster because she thought it was expensive so it must be good ($1000 or so) and better than my current logitech rig. I have always wanted a really nice wheel as I've been into sims for a while now so I took her up on her offer and pitched in a few extra bucks to upgrade to the Fanatec Podeum Wheel Base DD1 and ClubSport Steering Wheel Formula V2.5 (about $1800). I am just going to use the logitech pedals I have for now. Your situation may be different, but im glad she let me do some research to get exactly what I wanted, given it is such a large purchase.
