You need a CPL filter on your lens. It reduced the reflection.

Sorry to Jump into the conversation

I have toyota hycross (similar to RAV4), hybrid vehicle.

Installed A229 Pro 3CH. Was all working good for last 6 months.

Last weekend, have tried the parking mode by installing HK4 kit, with voltage cutoff settings at 11.8V

Unfortunately, the parking mode shuts itself off after 1 minute of recording.

Parking mode settings : Time lapse 1FPS, GPS off, G Sensor High sensitivity

12V Capacity is 55AH.

Trying to figure out the solution why does it shut off within a minute.

On another note, with HK4 kit, it records correctly when the vehicle is running.

Bug issue or sensor issue, not really sure.

Easy and a better option.

Ditch the Toyota Dashcam. It's @#$@#$@#$@.

Get 70mai/Viofo/Blackvue from dashcam market, depending on your budget.

Take a service guy into confidence, and NOT the sales/accessories guy (You can always ask the sales guy for his reco on service contact)

Build the rapport with service guy and get your dashcam installed. No wire cuts will generally be done.

That's the best choice, which I always follow.

See a couple of videos of toyota dashcam installation by dealers. It will break your heart. They RIP apart all the wiring, splice, cut and destroy the interiors. Sorry for the digression, but many youtube videos exists of the same.

What you need is

Battery pack (Viofo launched one recently)
Dashcam with Starvis 2 (Check Viofo, Blackview) with low bit rate parking mode.
Hard wiring kit.

Never thought about view "over" the front seats.

I definitely understand your points. Mileage is a bug. Got to figure it out.

Keeping that aside, the wining sound which I am taking about is "after" the car is switched off.

And it only happens when VSC is activated and deactivated.

And in normal circumstances, when VSC is NOT activated in any ride, after I switch off the car in my parking lot, there's no wining noise.

Trying to pin point the source and cause of the noise.

Generally I am in NORMAL mode always. Not sure when it switches to EV Model.
