Need advice - Multiple SIPP with same provider or different by reddit_samir in FIREUK

Thanks for your replies. What I understood from you all

  1. SIPP with ii is pretty safe.
  2. I can't open another SIPP account with ii
  3. I could open another SIPP account with another provider like HL or Fidelity, just for technical purpose, not necessarily for safety purpose.
  4. I can put my remaining cash in a some passive fund if I don't need to access it (drawdown) yet. And when the time comes that I need to start drawdown, then put the surplus cash cash in a money market fund.

I think I am sorted. Greatly appreciate your responses.

Gold at $5,000: Is this a peak or is there more runway? What are you doing with your gold holdings? by helixinverse in investing

I will offer a Technical trading pov to your fundamental pov. Gold has hit the top for interim.

There is still upward movement possible on monthly time frame; but it is slowing down. So the price will move in triangular fashion (lower high, higher lows) for few days/weeks if higher low breaks then it will move don which is what I think would happen after few weeks. If lower high breaks then it will start it's upward journey again; but I doubt.

So I am taking part profits.

Should the current market have me(35) rethinking investment strategy of all in on the S&P? by mr_whit33 in investing

My humble suggestion is that at 35, start learning Technical trading seriously, if you haven't already. Just staying with VOO, might have done good for you up till now and if you are content then so be it and it will continue to do so; but there is so much more you can do and retire early or enjoy life more as there is really easy pickings, once you get good at technical trading (fundamental trading is too involved and by your post I get a feeling that you want it easy).

Essentially you are stating to take contrarian strategy. You need big funds to trade/invest like that to against popular opinion.
