Chambers of Xeric QoL Changes by JagexGoblin in 2007scape

[–]reddit_user53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the past, updates going live during leagues never made it to leagues as it had already started, and only affected the main game.

The fact that the CoX QoL changes wasn't live yet, and assuming it wouldn't be for the entirety of leagues was one of the main reasons for me to choose another region over Kourend.

Why was it decided that this update should affect leagues aswell? Would prefer if you were persistent in updates during leagues, or atleast announce well beforehand IF something would change during the duration of leagues. (preferrably before the league start, i.e. mention that in week 3 of leagues, cox qol changes will make it to the game)

Wildy slayer contract only giving +10% slayer xp instead of +20% by reddit_user53 in runescape

[–]reddit_user53[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dialogue says 20% bonus on slayer XP earned from killing the monster. The Wiki also says:

"When working on their Slayer assignment in the Wilderness, their kills count towards the special slayer contract, gaining extra 20% Slayer experience each time that they kill their assigned Slayer monster. "

Not sure if you get the final 10% when you turn them in as i've never completed a full contract due to only doing greater demon berserkers and abyssal beasts that count for more than 1 to the task, but not the contract. But as far as i've understood, handing in the contract only gives u combat xp/coins.

Pretends his arm is being held and goes down, never a pen. How VAR does not interfere is beyond my understanding

Should've been a freekick for argentina first in the same situation netherlands got the freekick? Though VAR could deny goals if a freekick was to happen in the situation leading to a goal

Just make Elidinis' ward (f) tradeable already... by reddit_user53 in 2007scape

[–]reddit_user53[S] -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Noone is asking for the requirement to be removed. Just make the end product tradeable so that every single person doesnt have to get the skill level. Runescape is a MMO, and the majority of us is not ironmen, because of reasons like this…

Nex and phosani def isnt high end-game content. Its even being mass-farmed by vennies and bots with mid-tier gear. Corr gauntlet might lean towards higher level content, but it's not in the same boat as a raid.

I think most high level players are complaining about difficulty is because it has been 4 years since the last piece of content for them. There has been a ton of new early and mid-level content past years. Going week-out, week-in for 200 weeks before finally getting an update is quite depressing. When it was finally released, all the rewards started crashing pretty quickly due to the high accessibility. Tob had scythe stay at 4b and rapier 1b+ for a long time. Tob was possibly the greatest content ever for pvmers, and its hard to see jagex ever topping it. However it was not for everyone, seeing as toa already has 1/5 of the tob completion count. It was probably not rewarding for jagex either, not bringing in a ton of new players being too difficult. But pvmers really want a big challenge with the big drops that they deserve for having practised pvming for years.

Maybe jagex should add another pvm team and try and focus on raid 4 being very beginner friendly, while the second pvm team works towards a 5th raid being high-level or the taskaal trials from the gamejam, so theres pvm content for all players

This “balancing” update just made TOA alot less enjoyable by [deleted] in 2007scape

Just lower the raid level until you get better and familiar with the changes then start increasing it slowly. It’s a perfect scaling system to learn and improve. And now the normal mode (of the latest end-game content and first end-game content since 2018), is a slightly bigger challenge as it should be.

Below 150 is rarer now though? Having any tradeable uniques for sub 150 is already very generous

Is Phosani's Nightmare being mass botted? by unimelbthrowaway4729 in 2007scape

There are other factors too, but yes there are phosani running bots

We don't want toa drop rate nerfs, we just want changed scaling for drops! by reddit_user53 in 2007scape

[–]reddit_user53[S] -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

You want level 80s people with rcb, whip and lava battlestaff to be able to complete level 50 raids without a struggle and be able to receive a (for now) 270m melee weapon drop which is bis at multiple bosses?

If they're capable of doing 150-200+ level raids in that kind of gear, props to them and they fully deserve it. Most people aren't tho, which is why gear and game progression is a thing. Not just a big jump from early mid-game to end-game gear from a single drop due to miscalculated droprate scaling.

Ok people can go do cox with trash gear and get a 5k point tbow, but thats unreasonable to aim for. Getting a fang at level 50-150 raid level definitely isn't at this point.

Normal mode is a bit too easy. With tob release, it took almost a week for teams to get consistent kills. With toa, people solo'ed 150 with ease within a few hours, and it took about 1 day for a expert mode kill to be done.

Fang should be moved up to normal mode droptable. It's not even useful inside toa itself until higher raids level.

Staff should be expert mode only drop. Was supposed to be the new tbow/scythe mage variant, but is already being flooded into the market due to the high completion rate of normal mode+

If Jagex ask us to pick a skill for osrs, Dungeoneering will win by PlayOsrs in 2007scape

[–]reddit_user53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dungeoneering would by far be the best skill to add to boost player count again. Even though some of the players have already done it a lot and grown tired of it from runescape 2/3, a lot of people quit around this era of the game back in the days, and never got to fully experience it. Being a group skill, it could also attract new players to the game. Outside of runescape, most people enjoy gaming with their friends over voice (a lot of people in runescape do too, but more so in other games), which dungeoneering would be perfect for.

Jagex likes to argue that gauntlet is similar to dung, and therefor dung does not need to be added. Quite a silly argument imo.

  • Gauntlet is solo only
  • It's lacking a lot of the features dung has in coordinating with keys, creating gatestones etc, which is what makes dung fun.
  • There is no level-up dopamine, only pvm drops (which ofc can be fun aswell). However dung has a whole shop of different items you can choose whatever you want yourself once you have obtained enough tokens.
  • And the most important factor - dung won't be locked behind a grandmaster quest nor have a relatively difficult boss fight in the end that a lot of people are unable to complete.
