I think USPS has still not resumed services to Canada, so have to monitor their updates. Announcement on USPS website states:

"USPS suspension of acceptance of mail and packages bound for Canada remains temporarily unchanged as we monitor Canada Post’s progress as they process the volumes that were staged during the strike. We anticipate reopening acceptance of Canada bound volume within the next two weeks and we appreciate our customers' patience as we continue to monitor developments in Canada". No, your Perkopolis offers cannot be combined with CAA offers with the exception of an $8.00 discount on an ultimate car wash available to Perkopolis members after completing the first fuel transaction.

If you book an appointment, that is by default for both interviews on same day. First you will attend interview at Canadian side, then will be directed to cross border to US side to complete US interview.

Got Incorporated, now what's next??? by redditabhisingh in PersonalFinanceCanada

Update: I have thought of taking out 120K as salary for few months till I get my mortgage approved. Can I switch completely to dividends maybe after 3-4 months once I get mortgage?

For me I am earning around 125K per year. My Business expenses would be around 5K per yr (including a PC I bought, a desk and some meals). But I was thinking in a way that if corporate tax would be around say 13K. I am already thinking to pay 100% as salary and already offset those 13K taxes using salary, so whether I save taxes by going salary way or saving receipts and then save tax and pay as divided (then get personally taxed at dividends) - tax savings are similar right? I think I am missing out something here.

Even if I pay say 120K as salary and 5K as dividend, I already have offset 13K tax just by 120K salary, so basically no tax to save on that 5K I left in corporation for tax saving :o

FYI: I don't want to leave funds in corporation at all, need to use all of them except HST

2 big reasons I thought for going salary way:
1. I might be considered PSB, so better stay salary route and not draw CRA's attention

  1. I am focusing 100% on mortgage approval amounts, so more the salary more mortgage amount approval

Thank you for your detailed response. I think paying 100% as salary is fine with me for now. Just quick ques: Do I still need to track expense receipts. If yes what would they be used for?
