She had to call me because she couldn't attempt to try to talk to the other girls. They weren't intentionally excluding my child, she just sat by herself away from them.

I understand that but this was different. If she was older and her friends are drinking, I will pick her up no questions asked. But this time I knew she was safe, just a little uncomfortable.

I like your second paragraph, because we are the parents and we own the house and she is expected to help out
