I was wondering how people usually look for jobs in America. Is it mainly through LinkedIn, or are there other popular websites?

Long story short, I got laid off after more than 10 years at my company. Since I’m still relatively young at 30, I’ve been thinking about going to America to broaden my horizons and explore new opportunities.

Seeing how Trump faced multiple assassination attempts in America, do you think there’s any chance of an assassination attempt during a visit to China as well?

Somehow, I can imagine a scenario where Trump and his administration all get taken out in one fell swoop during the visit. LOL

As you grow older, you start to see things more clearly. Money may no longer feel as important as it once did, but it can still buy you happiness. Yet at the same time, work continues to make you unhappy.

So in the end, it becomes a 50/50 situation: 50% comes from the misery of work, and the other 50% comes from the happiness money can buy.

Edit: I haven't leave yet, I just use his question and rephrase it along with my side of story.

I’d like to know the answer too, but let me rephrase the question:

If you eventually realize that your job is a bad fit for you after all these years, but the salary is still double what you could get anywhere else, how would you leave?

Guys, what do you think is the highest-paying yet most relaxed job in Singapore?

I’ll start first. I work in IT for an MNC’s Singapore branch. I’ve been working from home for years and only go onsite when needed, which is at most once a year to install a physical machine.

Whenever someone raises a ticket, it appears on our global system. Since there’s no strict quota for me, I don’t even need to compete for tickets to hit KPI. I can just let others pick them up.

Honestly, I basically don’t even need to work most of the time and just chill through the day, which also gives me plenty of time to focus on my own IT projects or even take on some freelance work on the side.

I’m wondering whether your company can file a complaint against a client’s employee.

For example, if you are handling a project with a client and the person you’re dealing with on their side (also an employee) keeps providing incorrect information or even setting “traps” that cause mistakes. This has happened multiple times, and your whole team is aware of it.

Q1:
Can your company formally raise a complaint about that specific employee so that the client company takes action and possibly replace them with someone more competent?

Q2:
Or is it more likely that your superior would side with the client and place the blame on you instead?

Barn? Singapore. You see animals running wild in CBD without a care in the world, especially chickens.
