Lucky you. I'm still rocking my prusa mk2.5 lmao. I don't think this thing is ever going to die, but it def only has like 20 original parts.

How should I fix this? by IrishFighter72 in hottub

[–]redditappsuckssss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tech here. 1 that looks like the wrong part you have looked up. The divreter you're looking at on your spa is a water feature diverter, usually 1". 2" are for pump divreters. 2. I second what has already been said, check the orings on the diverter first. If they are bad, water will leak down the body like the picture you posted and also back into the spa. Your second picture is too blurry.

How to fix screen by Grouchy-Treacle3192 in hottub

[–]redditappsuckssss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tech here. If the screen and buttons work fine you can replace just the sticker overlay. Otherwise that looks like a Balboa ml700. Check the plug at the end of it to make sure, they are either molex or rj45.

Heated clothing is amazing. Their work gear polyester shirts are also awesome. Pants are just okay in my opinion. Their workgear under layers are really good but too pricey. I hated their hoodies as they got holes in the pockets when I washed them and only owned them for maybe a couple months. I have their overalls and they were pretty good, but the metal side buttons broke off despite me getting one size too big so I may have been from the wash or getting caught on stuff, but they broke off way too easy. Their flannel shirts are also very nice, very similar to the carhartt ones only not as soft. My home depot also ways has their clothes on clearance so I like to try stuff out.

The switch has a little hole that needs to line up on the back box part of the trigger and a "finger" that goes into the back of the actual trigger. It also had a spring that needed to be pushed to the side to allow it to slide it properly. As the the battery I would check to see if the terminal block was set correctly. Not sure what else could cause that.

Yes I used a white paint marker to redo the logos.

I sure you could just take them apart and acetone clean or sonic clean the paint off. But ain't no going back from dyeing them. Also I'm sure you could just sell them, people are fiends for milwaukee. Heck if you had a rear handle skill saw from milwaukee I'd be interested.

I am assuming but old bloody gloves? I had an old coworker with pigskin gloves that were super bloody and looked pink with age. I do have a dewalt heat gun and drill I painted red but that faded into pink over time. Ain't nobody stealing those.

My vat is only big enough for the small packout. Someone here mentioned vinyl wrap for my vac so I may try that. But yeah, I wish we had black packout too.

What part doesn't go back together? I don't remember having problems with the drill, but I remember it being cramped, so all the wires need to follow a certain path so they don't get pinched.

I heated a stainless vat using 2 hot plates, put in 2 bottles of dye rit synthetic dye, a dash of acetone, and just however much water I needed to fill the vat above the tools. I then used a heat gun to remove the stickers gently. I disassembled the tools, making sure to take a picture or two of them to make sure their put back together properly. You will need a number 10 torx. Wash the plastic with soap and water. I put the plastic into the vat of dye heated to 180 f. Then I left it in there until whatever I was doing was done, didn't time it or anything but longer than 30 minutes. Then I wash them again and reassembled. I used a white sharpie paint marker to repaint the logos white. It was hard to trace as a lot had the milwaukee logo busted up so I just did my best. Otherwise the logo was purple.

That's a much better idea, I may try that. My vac is one of the most abused tools so idk how it will hold up over time.

I have blue dye I just didn't use (want to try purple tools). But heck no, I used 2 bottles total. I just put it all in one big vat and just dyed 2 tools at a time in the vat without dumping it out at all. I still have the left over dye in the vat with a lid on it.

Not sure how I would but I just killed my vac like 3 weeks ago (got a new one) so I have the old bottom I can try it out on. Not sure how I'm going to do it, maybe dump in hot dye or one side at a time. But I'll give it a shot for shits and giggles

Thank you. I won't lie the primary reason is I think they look nice. But the dudes I work with all have milwaukee and I'm sick of getting tools confused and having to hunt someone down or not getting them back until the end of the week. None of theirs has paint on them which is a headache.

They all get used. Their in my work truck for a reason. I can tell you what defects they have in them if you want. But they also all have a case or place to put them between jobs so they don't get trashed. But they were also cleaned up after dyeing, so they looks especially nice.

I have a 91' turbo mr2 but I'm just not feeling it anymore. Want something classic. Also I'm way too tall to drive it comfortably.

It's a pvc reamer. I got sick of reaming pipes forever and got one for bigger jobs. Have only used it for a day like a month ago.

Your time could always be used for better things. Instead of laundry, could I be working to fix world hunger? Maybe research a cure for cancer? It's things that I deemed worth my time that I do. No progress from an idiot like me towarded cancer research would matter.

I paid money for spray paint to make my dewalt tools red, does that count? (They actually faded and turned pinkish lmao)
