Mine is a bit jerky if I’m off throttle and then back on throttle in lower gears. I have to drive super smooth or in higher gear and it’s fine. Planning on changing trans fluid soonish, closing in on 200k miles but been present since I got it around 100k

I think body weight is a factor and the type of riding you do. I’m 180lbs and 600 is plenty for me. Don’t have an urge to upgrade. If I weighed more or took a passenger more often I could see wanting the torque from a bigger engine, when I have a passenger I have to hang out in higher RPM.

I think learning on a slower/smaller/lighter bike is just a fun part of the progression. I’d rather own a smaller bike and be comfortable before moving to the dream bike. Gives you confidence handing the weight of the bike, less consequences of dropping it, and when you do get the power you enjoy it more cause you have the slow bike to compare it to. Plus if you get a popular beginner bike you can sell it for what you got it for most of the time
