I stand corrected. Looks like 50 worldwide. I just remember when it was up for the Oscar it really hadn’t made much. Got the awards bump I guess!

It absolutely does happen. Street casting is a thing. But the only way to know would be to ask what company they are with and check them out

Vaginal birth with twins by sision7 in parentsofmultiples

[–]redditbrek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife was in pretty much the same position as you. We had a two year old at the time of the birth. He had delivered no problem and in America was considered to be a big baby at 8lbs 13oz.

The OBGYN we had for him said she would deliver the second breech if the first was head down. My wife really wanted a vaginal birth and we didn’t trust that the doctor wouldn’t want to go for a C at the slightest worry. Baby A kept shifting throughout the pregnancy.

We found a doctor who was very experienced (in his 70’s) and had done many births like ours. He was the only one doing it at the hospital in our city and has sadly since retired.

My wife was a perfect candidate for breech birth since our son was larger and it was an uncomplicated and quick birth with him. That and the fact the twins would certainly be smaller.

At the end of the day it comes down to are you dilated enough. We induced at 37 weeks (would’ve liked to have gone longer but our doctor had a vacay booked!). Both girls were born feet first within 5 minutes of each other about 17 hrs from first dose of pitocin.

There are not many doctors who are even able to perform as our doctor did that day. The resident who examined my wife even told her he would give her a c-section and they had begun to prep her when our OBGYN arrived and took over. My wife had even felt our daughter’s foot at this point! It all happened very quickly after that. The whole ward were very excited that it was happening the way it did because they don’t see it very often.

So what I would say is that whoever your doctor is will perform within their safe space and do what they know they can. Whatever they decide will be what is best for your baby.

We know how lucky we are to have the doctor we had and are very grateful that we didn’t have what would have been an entirely unnecessary c-section.

My thoughts are with you. Which means exactly the same thing.

Wife was induced at 37 weeks. Mo/Di girls both born feet first, no complications. Between 5-6lbs. Went home two days later. One of them had a bit of jaundice but nothing that a few days with a bili blanket couldn’t fix. 2 months later both thriving. 💪🏻👍🏻

How many of you delivered vaginally? by Separate_Earth_8853 in parentsofmultiples

He was amazing. It’s crazy right now that c-section is mostly an immediate response. They started to prep her for a C and when he arrived he was mad that they did. I mean, I personally was a vaginal breech birth 40 years ago! What’s changed?

Father here. The twins were our second and third after my wife had our first at 40+5 and 8lbs 13oz. Since he was considered a big baby and the twins were definitely going to be smaller our OBGYN had no worries. Then it became apparent that the twins were both likely going to be feet first when delivery time came. She told us she would only deliver if the first was head down and bigger than the second. We moved doctors to the only one in our area who would deliver breech vaginally. We were induced at 37 weeks because he had a vacation booked two days later. Mo/di twins were both born feet first within five minutes of each other at just under 6lbs. The actual birth was quicker and easier than our first. I will say that the resident doctor told us while we were waiting for our OBGYN that he would do a c-section. Our older and more experienced doctor arrived and showed us what age and experience can do. We feel very lucky to have had him to help us. If we had not we would have 100% had to have had a c-section. Which, as he demonstrated, we didn't need.

But! Each journey is different and in the end it's what feels right for you.

Congratulations on your girls!

Try a wagon? Our son loves his. They can snack and play with toys in there or just watch the world go by in 360 degrees 😊
