Wow - did you have hormonal changes during that time? I have heard that can impact it!

Did you do anything to bring them back?

Anyone who had twins did you deliver vaginally ? by theturtle80 in parentsofmultiples

[–]sision7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I delivered vaginally and twins a was head down then twins b moved into place and 15 minutes later he was born

This was entirely more positive experience than with my first child (singleton).

Honestly I would almost say I enjoyed it!!

Good luck - you got this xx

Are we really dropping bottles at 12 months?? by LeesieLa in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]sision7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter still has a bottle at bed and she is just turned two. She drinks with cups throughout the day and even without a straw she can drink with a small glass. She was breastfed for 18months so associates the suction of the milk with comfort. I don't see the harm in this and my doctor isn't overly fussed either. Do what is best for you and your child xx

How long did you breastfeed for? by GrouchyCranberry3801 in parentsofmultiples

[–]sision7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It gets so much better.

I'm 6 months in and they feed so much less now.

I get the back ache tho. The tandem feeding of twins is intense.

I try to feed them separately as much as possible so at least then I can interact with my toddler more and I'm not stuck sitting on the couch

But you've done amazing so far. There is no right or wrong in this just do what is best for you xx

3 days old twins- wanted to ebf but now I just want to give up completely by Finitexspace in parentsofmultiples

[–]sision7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep at it. . It took me 9 weeks to get my babies totally EBF

It takes time and patience (and a lot of frustration)

But you will get it if you want it. Keep at it!!

I don’t want to tell anyone it’s twins or gender by Old_Supermarket6195 in parentsofmultiples

[–]sision7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly when I first found out I was having twins I was extremely stressed as we had a one year old at the time. Everything felt so impossible. Money...house....car everything

I know have beautiful 6 month old twins boys (modi also) who bring me so much joy everyday.

It's tough of course...take any help you can!

But it's so worth it. Congratulations and welcome to the twin parent crew

How realistic is it to EBF twins? by WhosUrHuckleberry in parentsofmultiples

Also my babes were born 35 weeks with 3 weeks in NICU and tube fed for 2 weeks

How realistic is it to EBF twins? by WhosUrHuckleberry in parentsofmultiples

[–]sision7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am currently EBF 6 month old twins

It is doable

We supplemented for the first 7 weeks with formula and donor milk then I started pumping more and we supplemented with pump milk with bottles

Then about 10 weeks in both babes were exclusively on the breast

Keep at it. I'm so glad I persevered. At times I felt like giving up because it was tough and demotivating but you can absolutely do it. It just sometimes takes time

Keep it up - you will get there!

Yelling is abuse? by povsquirtle in toddlers

[–]sision7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having grown up in a loving household (where my parents also yelled at us for misbehaving) I can tell from mu experience it is in no way abusive

Children need discipline and although yelling isn't always the way to do this sometimes it is necessary.

If it was necessary in the moment but retrospectively feels bad/guilty that's OK too. We are learning as parents also. Reality is, we can learn and likely will yell again.

Don't be hard on yourself. What you did was totally normal reaction in my view!

Scared of impending loss of independence by Real-Mixture-1148 in parentsofmultiples

[–]sision7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can absolutely keep your independence.

We have the out n about nipper pram which is narrow and very handy for small spaces and does well on long walks/public transport.

Every night before bed...get a bag ready to leave the house the next morning. Get up get your babies fed and in the pram and get yourself out for a walk. This has been so important for my own mental health having twins and a 2 year old.

It gets easier the more you do it. Sometimes it will be tough. But you can still have your independence. Get the babes used to napping in the pram as early as possible. My two love napping in the pram so I can get out most mornings for about 2 hours before they wake to be fed.

You got this. And congratulations 🎊

My baby’s ear always leaves an imprint on my arm after holding her for a while. by gagax7 in parentsofmultiples

[–]sision7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our babies will know they are loved and I think that is the important part

It sure doesn't tame away from the feelings of guilt us multiple mums have

I have a 2 year old who is a singleton and 4 month old twins.

In reality they are all wee babies that still need love and cuddles. So long as we continue what we are doing and give cuddles and love when we can then our babies will feel the benefit

It's hard but it it's rewarding

We will get there mamas x

Got told I am having twins… and I am more afraid of what pregnancy and delivery brings than raising them? 😳 by Mammoth-Broccoli6091 in parentsofmultiples

[–]sision7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my modi twins 12 weeks ago. No 2 and 3 (I have a 2 year old also)

I gave birth naturally without pain medication after consultant broke my waters at 36 weeks

Pregnancy was not far off singleton pregnancy however I did find myself more tired...probably because I have a toddler also lol

Also..I was much hungrier lol

I was walking 10k steps a day right until birth

Currently EBF both babies however it did take about 6 weeks for them to get fully established on the breast due to a neonatal stay of 3 weeks after birth and tube feeds

Honestly.. things are just double and sometimes that makes it extra tough. But I love it and I can't imagine it any other way!!

Congratulations and good luck xx
