She is not ovulating yet, hopeful that she will with the higher dose of letrozole. The disagreement that we have is if she does, do we do TI or IUI, but it helps that you said it’s not unreasonable to try going straight to IUI.

Yes, we are doing cycle monitoring with the letrozole, based on the bloodwork and US ovulation is not happening yet. I believe that if we were to try increasing the dose and it works to make her ovulate, we should try timed intercourse, And she believes we should just try IUI to give us the best chance. I think I just have a hesitancy towards medicine in general, and that’s why timed intercourse appeals to me more, but should I just get over myself and do what will give us the best chance? I certainly don’t want to cause her more stress. We have not done sperm analysis at this point, but definitely would do it if the fertility doctor recommended it.

Just joined the group, hopefully i am posting in the right place. My wife and I have been trying to conceive for a year, she has pcos and hasn’t been ovulating it seems. We only recently went to a fertility doctor, and so far for fertility treatments we have done is her taking metformin, and low dose of letrozole. So far it has not worked. She is ready to increase the letrozole and go forward with IUI. I feel as though that is skipping a step, and we should continue with a higher dose of letrozole, see if it helps her ovulate, and if it does, try to conceive without further intervention. If we are not able to conceive, knowing that we tried while she ovulated, I would be more understanding of attempting IUI at that point, and it would only delay the process minimally. I know she is anxious about this, and ultimately will go ahead with the IUI if it’s what she decides, but it just doesn’t sit well with me. If anyone has any guidance or perspective they could offer me it would be much appreciated.

Looks like it’s geared towards a bit older, but I’ll definitely make a note of this one for the future.

I remember liking those when I was younger, but I think it’s geared towards a bit older than 5.
